Write back to them stating you are not accepting their decision with the reasons you quoted and say you are referring it to the FOS, give them time to reply, if still not happy refer to FOS, don't be fobbed off.

Barclaycard paid me out without any fuss and I had no proof it was misold, i just think they have to try and turn so many down hoping you won't take it any further.

    Good Luck
    I agree with this 100%.
  • Postman just been with envelope from First Plus, cheques I thought, no just another letter stating they are dealing with my refund as a matter of priority.

Thanks a lot, and to everyone on here who is so helpful.

If the rest come in as successfully as this I'd be debt free, so fingers crossed.

Feeling your pain! I'm still waiting on my payout. Granted I haven't been messed around as long as you have (my claim went in May 2011 and they confirm they received my acceptance 13th Sept) but they are forever giving you timelines and getting your hopes up and then dashing them because they can't be met.

Spoke to someone in their PPI Concerns Team last night. It seems they have realised the telephone number were giving out was a joke. It just used to ring and ring and then cut off. If you were lucky it was answered. But now they have an automated message and it was answered promptly.

Although the answer I got was not very helpful... 'the delay is because your payout is over 5 grand... erm 5 thousand'... and the problem with that is???? Surely a payment of £1 should be dealt with in the same way as a payment of £5,000?

Grrrrrr...:( !!! Anyway, I've waited the 28 working days, to be told that they have now extended this by up to 4 weeks, which gives them until Friday 18th Nov... at which point I shall be kicking off BIG style :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:!!!

Keep hanging on in there people... we'll get there!

Well done to any winners this week :j:beer:

I rang them in Sept just to confirm that they had received my acceptance letter and without even asking about it the woman on the phone told me the money would be paid direct into my account on Oct 12th. Nice one I thought but then I received the letter giving them another 28 days which is up today. Have checked and money is not in my account yet. I'm sure my husband thinks I'm making it all up as he cannot believe that banks can act this way.
