HI i have just had a letter today to say halifax are going to repay all premiums etc on my credit card with them, the cheque should arrive within the month, around £3000 i blive.

I have also had a goodwill offer from rbs for ppi on a card i took out in 1998, they only processed my application for the account if i took out ppi. they have made a goodwill offer of 6 years premiums, some £2200 they say, no mention of interest. they base this on the fact they cant find my account information from when the account was opened. my concern is that i belive the figure should be around £8000 as i have had a balance on the card for at least 8 years and was paying around £70 per month in premiums. what should i do now? any advice would be appreciated.

HSBC have upheld my complaint, after a phone call 8 weeks ago. Whilst I had made a claim, they are still paying out, less the one month payment made to me when I was made redundant. :j

A big big thank you to all on this forum and Martin as we have had the letter from HSBC with an offer of just over £5000 which we will be accepting we never claimed this before as we were worried that the bank would call all our borrowing in which they have not done so please for the sake of under £2 get back whats rightfully yours
Thank you all once again for all your help and encouragment and good luck to all still in the process of reclaiming

hi tired mum, well done, what a good result ;).. and well done for urging the others who have not yet a step on this......for the sake of a quid or two, its worth it.....and as i have always said, you stand more to win than lose......all those that think that they have not got a chance at all, how will you know til you try ;)......if anybody had doubts, it was me, took out the loan in 2000, paid it up by 2002-03, thought i would not have a chance at all, well i was wrong, i won, still waiting for the amount, but a win is a win ;)
