  • Hi everyone,

Received a letter today upholding my complaint for mis-sold PPI from M&S. I started the process on 8th August. They have offered me just over £3,100. I am delighted with this as it was slightly more than I was expecting. Hope it arrives about Christmas time so that I can book a holiday!

    Thanks for all your help!

As you have probably guessed no Firstplus cheques have arrived today and there eight weeks is up today.

I have sent Mr Diamond an e-mail asking for compensation, I will give Firstplus another call on Friday. :(

I was due my cheque on the 21 October exactly eight weeks after First Plus said I would. A few days before cheque was due to arrive got a letter stating they had made a calculation error and made me a new offer. I accepted this and returned acceptance papers but with covering letter stating I was not prepared to wait a further 8 weeks. Customer services said this would not be the case and I would receive my cheque within 7-10 days as it was their fault. We are now over three weeks later and after numerous calls to customer services based in Liverpool firstly I got they had not received the acceptance papers, then they suddenly turned up and now they say they are processing it, whatever that means. Liverpool is the call centre but Cardiff is where they are all processed, managed to get a number for a financial dept in Cardiff who were not happy when I got through to them and even denied they processed PPI claims there, they transferred me back to customer services in Liverpool.

Just sent an e-mail to Bob Diamond.

Think we should bombard every First Plus Finance Dept in Cardiff with calls as I did, insisting they put you through to someone who deals with PPI.

  • Hi al first plussers

Rang again this pm and eventually got through to someone who said they are in breach of the 6-8 week wait and could be up to a further 21 days on top. They also pointed out the 8% interest was more than enough redress for this. Now dont get me wrong the chap was extremely polite but quite frankly I think it is just not good enough, there is obviously nothing in place to encourage Barclays to pay on time as they clearly are not concerned in the slightest.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Hi all i was just wondering f any of you know the payout time frame from barclaycard? on the letter i got with an offer there was no indication, on the following article from barclaycard, it says 8 weeks, is that for the whole claim? i.e from when i first complained? thanks for any help.

Barclaycard where great with me, very quick to pay out and as a Barclays customer paid it straight into my account.
