I've also received a letter today from them. They'll be repaying me back £4,344 for the 2 loans (better than the £48 I was paid recently :rotfl:). I'm now sorted :j:j

A MASSIVE WTG Matryoshka, Congratulations on a great result ;) :j:j:j:beer::beer::j:j :rotfl:

Nutty Nat - so that is your 8 weeks up then, are you assuming they have delays? Will you chase it up?

Anybody getting any money out of RBS lately. It seems to have gone very quiet. Acceptance letter posted on Aug 27th, got the four week delay letter - which is up on Wednesday so what do we think? Money in bank or more excuses, or worse still - silence.

Hi all, we've had a letter back from fos today saying they aren't upholding our mbna claim for charges. They're saying because they are charges earlier than 2006 we should have claimed before now! Thing is, if we knew then that they were unlawful we would have!! It's only after using this site we knew we had the right to complain! So frustrated! Is there anything else we can do?

had a text from them, they are running a week behind
  • Decided to give Firstplus a call this morning, all the calculations are done but was told that the cheque has still not been issued.:mad::mad::mad:

This will never arrive for tomorrow, I will call them back on Friday when I will be at eight weeks and two days.

This really isn't acceptable if I owed them money they would hound me constantly. :(:(:mad:

Hi, I received my cheque from RBS last Friday, my acceptance letter was sent to them on 13 September, had the 4 weeks letter, then cheque Friday. As I said in my post on Friday cheque was dated 12 October !!! but not posted out until 1st November, so looks like cheques are being written, but waiting on being posted out. Mine was a loan with Direct Line. Also, as I understand it there are different departments for different loans/credit cards that were underwritten by RBS, as the person I spoke to way back when advised me she only dealt with loans sold through Direct Line, bit of useful info for you RBS lot out there. Hope you get yours soon though, good luck everyone.
  • Hi all

Been lurking on here for a few months & took the plunge to write / phone various lenders i believed i'd had ppi with over the years.did my home work & tracked back through bank statements etc but telephoned the banks as well to check i had it. So i had ppi "payment care" with abbey national mortgage (santandar) from 1992 -2010. i just had to make a complaint on the phone they didn't even want it in writing nor did they want the ombudsman form filling in! complained on October7th, conformation letter sent on October 13th offer letter on the 25Th, total paid out & in the bank £11088!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
still awaiting to here from 3 more loans with hsbc
