    Hi Everyone

Just thought I would share with everyone my PPI success on a payout. Got home from work on Friday and there were two letters awaiting me from the postman.

Opened number one and it was from Halifax saying that they will be paying me £1200.00. Opened number two and it was the cheque. The strange thing is though - the cheque letter is dated prior to the offer letter. Either way success!!!

    :beer::beer::beer:
    Congratulations:T:T:T
I have had a letter from Halifax with interest up to November17th
My hubby has his letter with interest paid up to October 06th, he still has no cheque tho.
I emailed the CEO 7 times and had 3 letters the final one saying there has been a request for a cheque to be issued to you
regarding this agreement This will be forwarded to you at the earliest opportunity.
They are full of bull****,don,t know what else to do :mad::mad:
  • Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone on here for all the advice and support on claiming for ppi!

I've just had a reponse from HSBC and am getting almost £2000 back on a claim over loan ppi! (which does include a loss of intrest at 8%)

I simply said that by taking the loan out over the phone I did not feel that they explained all the beenfits properly and because of my age they exploited my lack of knowledge (i was 19 at the time).

They took a total of 10 weeks to respond from start to finish, have had to sign a letter to say I've accepted the payment and it will take another 4 weeks to hit my account.

Without all the encouragment on here I dont think I ever would have put in the claim-so if anyone is ever in any doubt about claiming-DO IT-just takes a letter!

    Thanks guys! :j
  • Just had another offer from RBS, 3 loans total £7,000 give or take a few pounds

Then got a text Re the MRP from RBS to say 28 working days but could be late, but interest will be added. Does anyone know what would be the interest per day?

Alos what is the difference between FOS and FLA? as Santander have told me the FOS have no jurisdiction with a case that have rejected

    Dear All

I'm back again. I posted on this forum in August about a possible claim against Abbey (now Santander)

Here's the link to my original post:_

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/46191325#Comment_46191325

And thank you to Cappo for your reply back then.

So, this has been left on the back burner, but now I've decided I'm gonna do this before it's too late.....but I have another couple of questions.

The loan I had was not only in my maiden name but also at my parent's address (where I then lived)...how do I get around this?

I'm going to fill in the questionnaire and send it with a covering letter (is that what people do???)

I was thinking in the letter I could put all my previous details (and my parents still live there), as well as offering to go into a branch to provide proof that I am who I say I am (passport, marriage certificate, etc) but I can envisage "problems" shall we say. Any pointers would be a great help

    thanks muchly

    Evening all,
After being successful with two credit card ppi claims, it seems that nothing seems to have changed with my balance. Surely it should reflect the removal of the ppi or am I being thick.
Ppi is only removed for a loan, this is not removed from a cc as you pay the ppi monthly,if they have given you the ppi back the cc balance stays the same.

Just do what you have said in your post, they will need proof and as you say you can go in branch to do this.

    Hi everyone,

Just a few questions to ask.

Has anyone received their loan cheques from Lloyds/TSB, had my credit card cheques but no loan cheque?.

Also I had a credit card with Capital One and can't find the account number as I have paid it off how do you find out your account number?.

I had PPI on my Littlewoods account and paid that off has anyone made a claim against them and been successful?.

Also I think I have asked already but I have found out Land of Leather has gone in to liquidation but I had PPI cover and didn't need it on my settee agreement how do I go about getting a claim together against them as the loan was with Open and Direct who are still going!

Thanks for all your help. :)

Hi everyone! I lurk much more often than I post but it's great to see people doing so well and so much encouragement and advice on here. I've posted this on the 'Companies in default' thread but wanted to post here too, in case someone can help at all.

    We've had success with Tesco C/C (£3,080) and 2 x Capital One C/C (£700) reclaims but I'm a bit confused about Welcome Finance/FSCS...

Filled out the forms FSCS sent everyone, back in September. They sent them back requesting a few things be filled in, so duly returned them mid October. Had a letter from Welcome Finance dated 23rd October saying they had received my application form and would be in touch within 30 days. I rang them this evening to see if there was any progress and my application is at 'stage 4 of 6' - awaiting transfer to FSCS for completion. Not sure what stages 5 and 6 are? Could anyone enlighten me? Also, is this good news? Wouldn't they have just declined my application if they didn't find in my favour? They couldn't tell me when it will be sent to FSCS either, even though it's ready to go?

Any help or advice would be so appreciated!

    Thanks, Kate.
  • Hello to the First Plus people - any news of cheques?

Nutty Nat - so that is your 8 weeks up then, are you assuming they have delays? Will you chase it up?
