can someone give me some advise what can i do please? I put a PPI claim for 2 credit cards, and 2 loans at end of may .i had end of august offers for 2 credit cards and for 2 loans,,but it didn't say how much,on , September they paid me on my account 2100 for both of cc,for 2 loans they offered me an offer.these two loans 1 was taken 2002 for 7500pounds over 5 years,i did top it up 1.5 years before 2007 ,taking second loan for 7.500 pounds for 5 years again,on both were ppi on them while i was self employed, then i topped it up on 2009 but this time no ppi with 10000 pounds which is still ongoing, this year i got another loan for 6000 which i am up to date with payments, and i want to say never missed a payment for last 10 years and the interest the charge me is, was 23,9 per cent on last 2 loans,on fist 2 was 15.now on august made me an offer but not in figures, they say -as my loan repayments have not been completed we will amend your existing loan to reduce the monthly payment.will only do this if u accept our offer...i didn't and don't want to accept their offer i want my money they o me.Has been 66 DAYS since last letter and more than 5 months since i started and still no money ,and unfortunately i got a third party to deal with my case, and they say we cant do anything just say sorry....0

What were you reclaiming:(eg. loan, credit card, store card):Loan
Who was the provider:(e.g. Capital One, NatWest)Firstplus
How much did you get back: £33845.54:beer:
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman:: One phone call only
And then write your brief reclaim tale
Been lurking for several months one phone call made no expectations but after reading all the posts on this site fairly confident I had a case ie Must take PPI but no problem just regard as a saving scheme. money back after 5 years no mention that it ends after 5 years but continues to be paid as part of loan, no discussion about financial suitability ie full sick pay for both me and wife and the fact that I have never taken PPI out (too mean, too poor, too Scottish) received uphold letter today 11 weeks (one week before deadline) payout 6 to 8 weeks from receipt of acceptance:rotfl: good luck to all other Firstplus claimants just do it its your money:)
WOW! :j:j

Very good news son got his offer in the post yesterday ,thought we would have to wait until december.Don't know if I can ask in this part of the forum but will try he had a loan taken out about 6month before this one also from direct line but did not complain about it as no details.Does anybody know if they will automatically look at this loan too or should he apply for information with 1 pound enclosed. Thanks for the information and encouragement recieved on the forum ,we nearly went with the claims company but help on here encouraged us to try ourselves. Thankyou.0

Morning Nataie,
It is three weeks since they received the acceptance for the first claim.
But they have not received our second acceptance even though we sent that over two weeks ago now .
They have said that we should try again at the end of this week as they have a backlog of acceptance letters that are still waiting to be scanned onto the system from around the 19th October!
My 8 weeks is up on the 16th December, fingers crossed they pay up on time, that would make a hell of a Christmas lol.
Waiting in anticipation of your deadline next week to see if Firstplus stick to it.

That is certainly what is known as a "right result", and all from just one phone call.
I like your reasons for never taking out PPI.
I have a colleague who has PPI on his mortgage, and he like me receives SSP. I can't understand how he took out PPI in the first place, as he's also "too Scottish". I'm going to show him this thread, and encourage him to make a claim, and join MSE of course.
Congratulations, and have a nice Christmas 2011.0 -
Acei560 - Well done that is amazing. My 8 weeks is up on the 14 Dec so hopefully we will get ours by then.
Nutty Nat, Spaniellover - Oh I so hope you get your cheques this week. What a wait.
When I read the message of First Plus' website about claming etc they gave indications of the timescales expected to wait. Apparently if you wrote to them before July I think it was you have to wait about 16 weeks before a reply however if you have written after that date then the wait is less. It shouldnt be like that, it should be first come first served. Why should the people who have written later get a reply before the people who sent earlier????
Oh well, good luck!
