Hope i am posting in the right place, wrote to Barclaycard about 7 weeks ago, they responded within a week or 2 saying they were dealing with it, and today received an offer of £5865.85 for one of the PPi claims i put in! i am very pleased and accepted the offer, which will be paid straight into my account, hopefully before Xmas!! :-) i have not posted in this topic before but have read all the advice, so TYVM and i will update when i get my Money!!
  • Hi
Can anybody advise, I sent in a PPI claim to MBNA 2 weeks ago, I received a letter back today asking me to call their Customer Service Centre to resolve the matter. I thought the usual stance was for them to write and advise they were looking into the case, seems a bit of a quick turnaround, just thought I would see if anyone else has had this response before I call them on Monday

Hopefully a wee query can get answered, with regards to missus PPI claim with HBOS.She received same letter as myself, stating moneys would be refunded to card and subsequently a cheque would be sent out.Now she is on a DMP and her card is in slight arrears with this.If all the money was to be credited to her account I assume her letter would have stated this and would say nothing about a cheque being sent out?Hope I've explained clearly...
Hi,if there are arrears on the card they can take any redress off this, they will send a cheque for any amount remaining.
They may not reduce the arrears on the card, but you will have to call them and ask what they are doing with this,so you know the exact payout.

Their Digital, Mobile and Telephone banking systems have been out of order since last night. They are working on it they say. Have all those PPI cheques in the sytem clogged it up? NOT GONE BUST HAVE THEY?

  • I sent a letter to MBNA on my son's behalf to reclaim all his PPI payments and with interest going back ten years from when he moved to France as you have to reside in the UK to make a claim it was a total waste of money............anyway a few weeks went by and we forgot all about it and then a lovely cheque came for 6,199!!!!!
It is well worth the time to write a letter to them you never know...............:j
  • On the 18th August I sent a letter to reclaim PPI to clydesdale bank & Black Horse for loans I had taken out, i wasn't going to send the letters as I had a went bankrupt and finished my trust deed 3 year ago. i also had no account details I just sent a standard letter to both

two weeks later I get a reply from both saying they are looking into my claim.

On the 5th of October I received a letter from Black Horse saying that I was not succesfull in my claim. they say i had signed to agree to the PPI, but i always remember if i ddint sign to agree to the PPI I wouldnt have got the loan at the time.

7th October I receive a letter from the Clydesdale bank saying they will be sending me £1,240.00, all i had to do was fill in the form with my details. also they will reduce my balance by £453.00 with finance services. this is the balance after the trust deed i take it.

Form sent that night & today the money was paid into my account :)
  • Hello. Can anyone suggest how to get RBS to reply to me regarding my claim for missold PPI. They made an offer in the sum of £2018.15 and then sent me a cheque for just over £1500 - a shortfall of over £480 on what I accepted. I have not cashed their cheque as their letter said it was in 'full and final settlement of my claim'. When I call them they just tell me that the Payment Department will need to deal with it - and then tell me that the Payment Dept do not take telephone calls. I have tried sending a fax to them asking for an explanation of the shortfall and still get no response. Any ideas how I get them to respond?
