Hello,
I have just read on the PPI claiming forum some people are getting rejection letters saying because they ticked the PPI box then they wont be entitled to claim anything. Just wondering to those waiting First Plus letters if you ticked the box, as I ticked on one of my boxes for one of the loans however have received an offer letter. Surely now they have offered me refund they cant go back on their word and say I cant claim can they???

WOOP!! WOOP!!:T:T:T
Received my offer letter from LTSB, 15 weeks to the day since I claimed for £4109.71. I`m really pleased with this offer, and don`t even need to send anything back unless I`m rejecting the offer. It also stated that a cheque would be issued but there was no timescale for payment, but I`m prepared to wait, as long as it`s soon.:):)2019 WINS- £100

This is quite unbelievable :silenced::(I spoke to the FOS about Firstplus payment times, I was told a wait of up to ten weeks was fine and if you go past twelve weeks maybe you would look at reporting it back to the FOS then.
I cannot believe that there are no guidelines that are put in place for this. :eek:0 -

Afternoon all!
Back in August I placed a complaint with Lloydstsb TSB regard the Loan Protection Insurance that was applied to a Loan I took out in April 2007.
I have complained on the basis that it was implied that I would only be granted the loan on the proviso I signed up for the LPI. I never wanted the LPI and since checking the copy of my t&c's sent through by lloydstsb I have noticed that the box stating
"I wish to purchase Loan Protection Insurance [ ] (please tick)" is signed but the box is not ticked.
Fingers crossed for some success, as lloysd haven't responded to my original complaint I have contacted the FOS who are going to give them a prod on the matter.
I do have a question though.
The Loan for Loan Protection Insurance was £7485.32 at £135.25 per month. I cleared the loan in 52 months so paid £7033 in LPI.
How much should I expect to get back?
Thanks in advance
I'll try to give you an idea on the amount to expect back later tonight, seems a straightforward loan calculation but takes a while to do the 8%

I had my CC complaint by MBNA refused back in the beggining of September which was their final response.
Di3004 helpped me construct an email which was sent to MBNA, who in turn replied back they were re-investigating.
Two weeks ago I called for an update and was told it has gone to the calculations department.......but today I have been sent a letter not upholding my complaint.:mad:
I called them and they said it is the final response and I can take it to the FOS.
Upon reading the letter again it says is they could reopen it if I can prove pre-existing medical history (which my doctor will write) and self employment.
I am a bit stumped proving the self employment in our family business, how do I prove that? The business was sold in 2004 so really do not know where I should start getting the relevant evidence.
They also enclosed a copy of my agreement which shows the PPI box ticked.
I have a feeling the person who told me they were calculating was just a general customer service assistant and not someone from the PPI department.
Any advice will be appreciated.:AMortgage Feb 2015 £178,500 END 2043!!
MFW 2015 £100 /£1000

Surprise Surprise!!!
Another day and no response from LTSB. May be Mr Antonio_Osorio has gone home sick, with all the stamps in his pocket. Still we wait. I will update the world dailly.:mad::mad::mad:0 -
Hi there, with this loan,it doesnt matter if you ticked the box,this is frontloaded ppi and they wont take this offer away,if they do,they know FOS will uphold anyway.Hello,

Hi Kaiser, have taken a look at your figures and calculated what you should expect back. Please take this as a guide only as I think the banks all use different formulae. I have used a recognised formula given to me by one of the maths gurus off this site, so they should come close
PPI = £7,033.00
8% = £1,240.20
TOTAL = £8,273.20
regards dilus and good luck

November last year decided to claim back my ppi , was a bit silly and had a company to fight my corner ,as banks was still up in arms about paying out so thought they could help more on legal side of things anyway on the 23rd august this year had a letter form LLOYDSTSB saying i would receive a sum just short of £4000.00 it has now been 70 days since i had this letter saying they will pay me out and still have had no payment .. 3 weeks ago phoned up LLOYDSTSB myself and asked them to look at loans i had going back to year 2000 and within 5 days had a letter saying they will look into this but nothing on when payment will come ......phone the company acting on my behalf and they say they phone every day asking for payment and said staff at LTSB are still dealing with payments with the dates of around the 10th august so hopefully mine should come soon0
