Whatever you paid out in PPI plus the interest plus 8%.Make sure you get the calculations of how they have worked out your refund.

All the loans are settled. I paid back £13000 in total but i have no idea what the breakdown of this would be. Im just wondering how much i will get back from this

Im soooooooooooooooo pleased. Nothing ever goes right for me

We are so happy for you :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T :T , this will no doubt be a big help to you now, especially in this day and age, Credit crunch etc, so again well done.

Like Pinknico said make sure you get your calculations for this and you can request for these from the company, and they should post these out to you.

For example one of mine was under £11K in PPI and I received just under £13K back, as the interest adds up as well etc.:D  .

Hello, i had 3 loans with the Bank Of Scotland running consecutively from 1990 - 1996. My repayments in total came to 13,000. I thought i would try and claim the PPI having seen this site. I sent a letter on 16 January and just received a letter backk today to say they are upholding my claim and I will get the amount back in full plus intrests etc. I have no idea how much i will get (all opinions greatly accepted) but they will send me the money in about 1 months time!!!!!!! Not bad for 1 letter. I will let you all know what i get.

Im just waiting to hear about the Credit Card i have with them to see what i get for that.
    :j:jab fab well done:j:j:T:T:T:T
  • I have had my second result from claiming back PPI.

Sent 2 letters off before Christmas to Egg & LloydsTSB. LloydsTSB responded 2 weeks ago and I got back £4,74695 + Interest.

Today I received letter from Egg offering me £1,189.73.

I only had to write the one letter (using MSE template) for both. can't believe how easy it was to claim.

Thanks to everyone on MSE for their advice and the templates.

  • Hello all!

I've just started trying to reclaim from Egg for 2 PPI's I feel were missold.
One a credit card and the other a loan. On both occasions, It was suggested to me that my application would be favourably looked at if I took out PPI.
Being young and stupid, I agreed, signed the paperwork that was sent to me, and thought nothing more about it.
It's only years down the line that I realised after reading up about it and various news stories, that they shouldn't it shouldn't be taken into account!
Firstly I emailed Egg asking for copies of my Credit Agreements for both policy's. The loan has been paid off now, so they sent through a schedule of my payments, including a £1300 charge for PPI. They sent a Credit Agreement, signed by myself, for the credit card, but with no mention of PPI on the paperwork.

I replied to the email stating I felt I was missold, but have so far received 3 replies from different 'Internet Advisors' from Egg, to say that as I requested PPI when I took the agreements out, I have no cause to claim. They appear to be ignoring the fact I am claiming they missold it, simply that I agreed to take it out....
I've sent letters off to Egg earlier this week, and am awaiting a response from them, but I'm not hopeful.

I shall of course post back when I get more news (good or bad!)

    Tony.

  • i had a loan with tesco finance and was sold ppi. i wrote to them using martin's template to complain because I was retired when they sold me the ppi.
They refused my complaint, I took it to the FSO in the summer of 2008 and they upheld my complaint. I had a letter from them just before Christmas telling me that tesco finance would repay me the ppi. They said it could take 6-8 weeks before i had my refund. I have not heard anything from Tesco finance yet. Has anyone else reclaimed from Tesco and how long did repayment take?

    Hi there

You're not on your own! I'm in the process of claiming from Tesco. The 8 week deadline was up last week (18.02) and I'd heard nothing so I contacted the FOS who chased it up on my behalf and I've been asked to give them another 3 weeks as they have such a backlog which they are working through in date order.

  • I appeared with martin on the TONIGHT programme(in london),back in oct/07.i took a loan out with a certain blue talking telephone, which was advertised on tv.we applied, twice on line and were refused twice.so i rang up and asked why,did i do it wrong?was it a computer error?.the woman on the phone did'nt ask my name, address or post code, all she asked was "did you include the ppi".i said no 'cause i was already insured.but she replied "sorry but this company won't give you the loan without it".so i took the loan.then GOD appeared on the TONIGHT programme, about it.i emailed, got a reply and went to london.
now this is the best bit.i wrote to RBS,about this,(they bought out that company just after we took the loan out)they said no,did it again and they said the same thing,no.so sent it off to the FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN,who took this up for us.on 03/12/08,we received a letter off them saying SUCCESS :j .They said RBS has decided to give it to us "as a goodwill gesture".we sent the letter back to F.O.saying we accepted the gesture,BUT,we're still waiting!!!!!!.have emailed the F.O. now we're awaiting a reply off them,to tell us whats going on.
