  • I have made 9 separate PPI claims to various lenders, but due to complexity of financial affairs, and ex bankruptcy I really need someone to help with this as I am getting nowhere.

Is there a list, or can anyone recommend PPI Claim companies that have been good, and reliable, I am not worried about paying them a commission, if they can take these on board, as I think I am running out of time.

Plus some of the agreements are difficult to interpret. If anyone can suggest some GOOD reliable (ministry justice registered) companies they have used I would be grateful, or solicitors who they know can take these on, on a no win no fee basis???

Getting thoroughly depressed now and there is over 100k of loans involved,
    Cheers
  • What a load of rubbish this Firstplus lot come out with, now telling me to expect my cheques more towards the end of the eighth week, I said so you are telling me we are looking more at nine weeks now. No I was told we are still in the eight week period even if it is at the end of the eight weeks.:mad:

I feel an e-mail coming on for Mr Diamond this afternoon, I was told to ring them back at nine weeks if they have not arrived by then.

I think it's more to do with the fact they don't want to pay me £20,000!!!!

    Hi and welcome!

Firstly, are we talking a "claim" in the sense that you want the PPI to pay out - or are we talking "mis-selling complaint" in that you want your premiums refunded with interest?

If it's the latter, then personally I'd suggest continuing to handle it yourself if possible. The difficulty where debts are concerned is this. If your complaint is upheld and the bank offers you a refund, it may in fact use this to reduce the debt so you wouldn't actually receive any cash. However, if you use a claims company they would base their fee on the amount the bank offered - regardless of whether you actually receive anything. So you could just end up with a bill to pay and nothing really to show for it.

It might be worth setting up a new thread on the forum to discuss your issues, there are lots of people who can offer advice and suggestions (for free).

I'd also suggest concentrating on one complaint at a time initially, instead of trying to juggle all 9 at once. That way it doesn't seem such a lot of work.

I think you ought to curtail your anger where this company are concerned :p:p:p:p

They are only a financial institution after all,you cannot expect them to understand what they are talking about :D

They only know how to sell a worthless product to easily led consumers,so dont be too hard on them :D:D:D:D:D

Ring them up and ask for a ppi policy :D you will have the document to you by parcel express, delivered at lunchtime today :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Hi all posting here hoping for some advice, Last week I appealed against LTSB decision not to uphold my complaint for CC and loan. Spoke with them today and they are not interested at all. They tell me there isn't sufficient evidence to prove I was not explained the terms and conditions.

They have advised me to take my complaint to the FOS which I fully intend to do but is there anything else I can do or is it literally my word agaist theirs?

Not looking good, maybe not worth taking to FOS?

    Thanks all
    According to ABBA apparently it's a rich mans' world . . .:p

Who do we send our emails to now what a shame mmm
Bet he gets PPi paid out to him!!!!!!!!!!!
  • I had a few loans with Lloyds many many years ago. I did not have the account details but i did remember having to take the ppi as part of the loan, which at the time was not fully explained. I recently made contact with Lloydstsb via phone and told them i want to claim the ppi back on the basis of it not being fully explained and also that i would not be able to get the loan without the ppi in place. I was told they would look into it. Letter received on 19th September from LLoydstsb, with they 3 loan account numbers they said they would respond as soon as possible, but they had a time allowance of 12 weeks and that if i made contact with the Financial Ombudsman they would not be in a position to deal with it until the 12 weeks period had passed or until i have received a final response from Lloyds tsb.
I rang Lloydstsb (impatient, yes i know) on 30 September and was told it was being dealt with and i would have to wait until they made contact with me. Still waiting.....will they stall until the 12 weeks or will they respond with a positive answer on my part? (12 weeks will be just before christmas)....what do i do. Sit and wait or ring again...... :-(......
  • Hi,

I'm pretty sure my partner took out PPI without knowing it on a variety of cards and loans before we got together. We've subsequently paid off debts and I wondered if there was a way to track previous PPI payments without having any of the original bank records?

    Any ideas or experiences?

    Cheers
