PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Like a lot of people I am fed up with the differing answers I keep getting from Lloydstsb whenever I call. They say that nobody who claimed after me and whose offer letters were after mine would be paid before me and yet there are people whose offer letters are dated after the 22nd September (when mine was dated) are receiving their money before me. If it weren't for the fact that I would still have a restructured loan with them, I would close my bank account with them once I do receive my money. It would be interesting to know if many people have closed their accounts following this.0

I will be Ben, it's disgusting how they are treating their customers0

I put my claim in with lloyds at the beginning of may it took them till the 25th of august to tell me it was successful ( nearly 15 weeks ) it then took them another 4 weeks to tell me how much i will be getting (15th Sept ) and i am still waiting for a cheque !! I have been told something different everytime i ring, last time was on last saturday i was told if i havent got it by 7th november ring back and refunds will chase it up for me. Yeah right !! more likely i will be told something completely different yet again. I have emailed the CEO and had no answer not even an automated one, i have also emailed the financial ombidsman asking if they are aware that lloyds are treating us like this, no answer to that one either !! Lloyds took great delight in telling me that there is no rule to how quickly they have to pay out and if i start a complaint then it goes back to the 12 week deadline again !! I am really getting cheesed off now0

I raised a claim against RBS through the FINANCIAL OMBUDSMAN SERVICE 3 years ago and am still waiting . a year ago the FOS upheld my claim but after several letters since they told me today it could take another 2 years . what am I doing wrong for it to take so long. frustrated and fed-up frankie
:(:(:(:( 0 -
Hi,
Does anyone know if the FOS has a timeframe of how long you have to wait from acceptance to calculations of what they owe you?
Many thanks0 -
Hi irnbru74
I have rung the FOS and they said that no there is no timeframe and that if you do complain officially to them about how long it is taking then you start the 12 week process again !! its a pity when they made the rules about how long they have to answer the complaint e.g 8 / 16 /12 weeks they didnt think to make a rule about how what timeframe they have to pay you in.

Hello all
Had a phone call from the missus, finally got the cheques for the loan PPI from Lloyds!!! 12K in total!
Offer made on the 9th September, so well over the 28 days, but it has got here eventually.
Keep the faith!!
Thanks again to Martin and the team, just waiting on Barclaycard CC decisions now.0 -
Well I have now been waiting for my PPI refund cheque of over £16,000 for 8 weeks and as far as I can see they are now in breach of a contract which I signed, agreeing that I would accept their offer and the time it would take to raise the cheque. As I have mentioned on here before I have phoned week in week out and the stories I have been told by first plus have been just a bunch of lies even to the point of being told that they hoped to get them to me in six weeks when I had already passed the six week period. Today I phoned and I have someone trying to figure out where the cheque is at ..The !!!! and bull story which is so stupid it's probably true is that cheques are raised in Cardiff then sent to we think Scotland and then they are sent to the customers.... I have been told that Cardiff has a back log of acceptance letters but they seem unclear where they are with the cheques. I have been waiting for a return call most of the day so we will be calling again at 4pm. I am more than happy to drive from Essex to Cardiff to get the cheque an offer I’m sure they will come up with a reason why I can't do that.
I have been through the ombudsman they have arrived at this agreement with first plus and the agreement is now folly..What to do ….I think that Mr Lewis :money: or someone in power will have to shine a light on the fact that both Barclays and first plus are not giving the money back in the time frames that already factored in backlogs and delays ..My wife and I are at our wits end... with no one to help us….:(0 -

Firstly well done.
How come I get told that they are dealing with payments in a strict order based on date of claim or date of offer and this case gets settled before mine, when my offer was dated 8 September?
Lloyds, no wonder they are having problems if they don't know 8 comes before 9.Money Saving IQ 142 - Does that mean I am tight?0 -
disgustified, fingers crossed this means your cheque is on its way to you?0
