  • I had a few loans with Lloyds many many years ago. I did not have the account details but i did remember having to take the ppi as part of the loan, which at the time was not fully explained. I recently made contact with Lloydstsb via phone and told them i want to claim the ppi back on the basis of it not being fully explained and also that i would not be able to get the loan without the ppi in place. I was told they would look into it. Letter received on 19th September from LLoydstsb, with they 3 loan account numbers they said they would respond as soon as possible, but they had a time allowance of 12 weeks and that if i made contact with the Financial Ombudsman they would not be in a position to deal with it until the 12 weeks period had passed or until i have received a final response from Lloyds tsb.
I rang Lloydstsb (impatient, yes i know) on 30 September and was told it was being dealt with and i would have to wait until they made contact with me. Still waiting.....will they stall until the 12 weeks or will they respond with a positive answer on my part? (12 weeks will be just before christmas)....what do i do. Sit and wait or ring again...... :-(......

Not an expert, but think you'll need to wait the 12 weeks, as they have this amount of time to respond.

I'm also waiting on a decision from LTSB and applied in early September.

I'd wait the 12 weeks out.
  • I've just got a claim back from Halifax for £589, what good news.

I had ppi on a current loan. Used the form on the Halifax website and sent it in, and as promised on the 16th week i had a letter confirming my offer. Payment arrived 4 days later.

In additon they have cancelled the ppi on the loan from now on. Ive tried to do this 3 times and been told each time i would need to pay £70 for this, and then been advised against cancelling as i would be out of pocket.

    Hi everyone

Had my letter of an offer from LTSB dated 22/9/2011. AS of today 2/11/2011 no money has touched my account!!! Have just emailed customer care and CEO that I will be now charging them £12 per day from the 22/9/2011 for failure to pay.
How would I get this upheld or will they just flip me off?????
    Please help anyone that knows

What a load of rubbish this Firstplus lot come out with, now telling me to expect my cheques more towards the end of the eighth week, I said so you are telling me we are looking more at nine weeks now. No I was told we are still in the eight week period even if it is at the end of the eight weeks.:mad:

I feel an e-mail coming on for Mr Diamond this afternoon, I was told to ring them back at nine weeks if they have not arrived by then.

I think it's more to do with the fact they don't want to pay me £20,000!!!!
Hi I think we need to get serious with them, the longest time to pat should be 28 days not 40! :D

I have also told them this, and I am adding this charge daily. I will be putting in a seperate claim for this money if it does not get added to money they already owe me. They want to pay soon as I am claiming from when money should have been in my account 15th August....and it is currently at the £960 mark at the moment lol
Don't know if it will get paid, but I am sure gonna fight for it!!!

Hi,put my complaint in on 3rd august and still waiting(they have 16 weeks to respond to me cos my complaint was before 1st sept). My friend complained on 14th august and has had upheld and figures so there is no system except they DO have the whole timescale and you have to wait....KEEP HOPING!!!!!
  • Lloyds TSB are taking there time paying me my PPI Refund they meant to give me £2308 via a cheque ... still been waiting 3 weeks.

I also sent a old credit card statement with PPI charge on it they came back saying they have no record of PPi on my card, I rang and emailed them advising I have sent you proof - so they r now relooking into it.. fingers crossed...

On the other hand my father received his PPI refunds pretty quickly from MBNA and Barclays
    MBNA > £1750
    Barclays about £4580

    Happy days:j

All thanks to the people who helped on this site> huge thanks guys> keep up the good work:money::T
