And yet another update, got a letter yesterday advising that all 3 off my claims have now been upheld. Originally awarded £2500, now getting £4555.
I also phoned Lloyds yesterday & they said that they are processing payments from 1st week in September so it looks like a wait of around 8 weeks for me.0 -

New to this but been reading everyones success stories and just thought I'd share mine.
Just got £3000 put into my account off Northern Rock for missold PPI. Sent my acceptance letter off on 5th October, they said would be upto 28 days before the money went in my bank - and just checked my account and it's in there already, so they only took just over 3 weeks..
Just waiting for my cheques off Firstplus now - they upheld my ppi claim and I'm getting £10,000 in cheques back to me and £17,000 taken off the balance of my account and it's been restructured and I'm going to be £100 better off a month as my montly payments to them drop - megga result from them.:T:T:T:T0 -
Does anyone have the email address for Halifax CEO please ?:j0

A friend of mine has just had her claim upheld to the tune of £4,400. It appears that they DON'T have to re-pay the APR on the upfront PPI but just re-pay the PPI + 8% standard interest, little bit unfair in my opinion as you have paid interest at the going rate on the loan from the offset but a result is a result and we are not arguing. This has come about in what I can only say is record time, only submitted complaint 6/10/11, received confirmation and uphold 10/10/11 by phone, told it had gone to claims dept 20/10/11, received offer 25/10/11, will accept and report back when payment is made. Abbey National/Santander by the way, very impressed
Santander are very good.
By the way,if you have a loan, the ppi monthly payment includes the interest for the ppi over the term, when you win mis sell, these payments are given back to you plus the 8%,so you do get the interest back.
Credit cards i have not got a clue about how they do the interest on these.:eek:0 -

Phoned Lloyds again and now they have said they don't know which balance is correct.
Basically it could be £2500 or it could be £4555. I have to phone back in two weeks.
Is it any wonder I no longer use them as my first choice in banking?
Might need to get Watchdog involved & FOS. Maybe a bit of adverse media publicity would get their fingers out.0 -
