A bit of success to report.
I made two complaints to BlackHorse, one (which can be referred to the FOS) was upheld and the other (which would be referred to the FLA) was rejected.
Since they were both sold in the same way and at the same office (albeit several months apart), I asked them to explain why they concluded that one was missold and yet the other was perfectly fine. I asked them for written evidence that the two sales were conducted in significantly different ways.
I've received a further letter today which says that "having reviewed our investigation" and "carefully considered the additional points" they have now decided to uphold both complaints and refund the premiums plus interest.
So, anyone dealing with BlackHorse - do NOT give up.0 -
Hi,
I got a letter in the other day, not upholding my complaint, but at the end it stated to contact them. I'm assuming its if I need further clarification or to redress complaint, however if they did not hear from me they would close the complaint
I have emailed CEO and customer care and was wondering if there was anybody else I could contact, as I have had no contact back!
Who is Andrea Barry?

Hi Not sure if you saw my previous post... I called Lloyds again on Friday and was told that their calculator was faulty and consequently all cheque refunds had been on hold for the previous 2 weeks. The have now fixed it but are issuing refunds from Mid August at the moment. My letter was 8/9/11 and I was told I should have my cheque within the next 2 weeks..Not sure if this helps.....
Well, what a surprise .I was given more mis information. When I queried again why I had not received my cheque I was told that It still had not been issued and they were not sure when it would be but in view if the fact they could not sufficiently answer my queries they would transfer the amount into my account by BACS but this could take up to 21 days. !I have emailed Andrea Barry & the CEO again as I still have not received the BACS transfer 9 days later ( even though I bank with Lloyds).
I am going out tomorrow to find a new bank account as after 27 years with Lloyds I have finally had enough.Only problem is who do I pick???

hi
Can anyone help. Iv had two offers from rbs. The deadline to pay me is tomorrow 26th. Iv now had a letter saying it may take another four weeks and they would pay me interest on every day it is late.. Can anyone tell me what interest they will pay each day. thanks
Interest is paid at roughly 0.022% per day, or in other words 22p for every £1,000 they owe you.Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0
