    Hi,

Just a quick message to say I have received two out of three of my cheques from Lloyds today :j. But I am still chasing my loan cheque from Lloyds. I emailed the CEO last week so maybe that helped to get my cheques out on time!!.

Also we purchase a sofa from Land of Leather but the finance was with Open & Direct we had PPI cover on the finance which I shouldn't have had but they said I had to have it. Does anyone know who I need to contact to get this money back?.

    Thanks :T

    Well done on your success!

If Land of Leather were the ones who set up your account it will normally be them, despite having the agreement of Open & Direct.
I am not sure if the business Land of leather are still active, so depending when you purchased this, you may be able to make a reclaim through the FSCS.

If you can though try contacting the business before contacting the FSCS just to make sure they are no longer active, but otherwise contact the FSCS to see if your eligible to make a reclaim through them.

Any problems, let us know, it may yet be the case of having to go the underwriters/insurer avenue if the business your complaining of were not FSA regulated at the time you taken out the account, you can let us know how you get on with the above first and take it from there.
    Good luck.

just a quick enquiry,if someone can help please,my husband had a decline from Barclaycard.saying its his word against there's regarding telephone call stating that he had become self employed in 1998,although stopped ppi till about 18 months ago,as he did not realise that it would not pay out, according to Barclaycard they said they do pay out on self employed,i do not think this is correct at all and i think they are b**llsh*tting, they said this is there final letter,
we have written back to them at least two weeks plus ago,and registered it,but no reply from them.
Also my daughter has had the same from Virgin credit card, stating that it was explained to her, which is poppycock,as she took it out online, she believed it was an opt out system, again sent saying it was there final letter, and again we have sent details that she would be paid from work and really good benefits for 6 months plus, again they have not replied, shall we give it a little longer,or now send all details to the Ombudsman

    Thanks all

    Hiya

Chase them up and ask them if they are dealing with the cases or not, you can wait a little longer if you want to, say by the end of the week and if you hear nothing further, complain to the FOS.

Hope you hear some good news soon, good luck x;)

Really really fed up with Lloyds, been promising my payment since the 23 September. I have had two but waiting the final one and as its £5K not best pleased. They have made so many promises of when it will hit my account but still nothing - absolute disgrace!

has anyone still waiting payment from lloyds sent email to

    ian.hallett@lloydsbanking.com

hes the ppi director and I found him quite helpful
  • Had email this morning from Andrea Barry saying refund was concluded. Funds were sent to my ACCOUNT on Friday 21st October, should be there end of this week. Checked today and its there!!!
Premiums and interest from 2 finished loans and interest from existing loan.
Premiums from existing loan had been sent to Loan Centre who would restructure it and then those premiums would also go into bank by end of the week.
Andrea is the person to keep emailing.
Complaints team really dont know what theyre saying, they told me yesterday because I only got my calcs letter on September 16th it would be at least another 6 weeks.
Dont bother ringing them, email CEO and Andrea as much as you can.
  • I have had a goodwill gesture sent through and so I phoned to ask how the calculated the Total PPI as I believe I have paid more to them, the mester said that a case handler has this info not them, he also said that it is a goodwell gesture and that if I wanted more then I had to prove i'd paid more.
the bank account that the PPI came from was a Natwest account so either way they could see how much i'd paid.

What is the best avenue to take?
    • Send a letter asking for a recalculation
    • Contact the CEO
    • or, Go straight to the FOS
