Hi Welsh.g,
From what I gather they have eight weeks to send the money to you following the sixteen weeks they have to offer redress calculations. Its a mad mad bank.

Hi Tanmich
So does this mean they have a total of 40 weeks from the date of the original complaint in May 2011?

I thought that too, but Lloyds say there is no timescale on when they have to pay out. When I said they only had 8 weeks she laughed and said that was a load of rubbish. Apparently the timescales are only for the initial complaint and calculations.0 -
As for Lloyds who I bank with not a thing rang them today no information can be given and according to them they have until 1st of November to reply even if the claim is not upheld. What a load of rubbish Lloyds are.[/QUOTE]
When I put in my claim initially, I was told by an extremely nice man to phone at any time to check on the progress.
I also phoned LTSB today and was basically told not to bother phoning them as they couldn`t tell me whether my claim has been upheld or not until 11th Nov (which is when my 16 weeks are up). Why bother telling us one thing when they mean another?2019 WINS- £100

It would seem Lloyds TSB are a law unto themselves, they have different answers depending on who you speak to just to make it more confusing than ever. I don't think they even know what they are talking about themselves as it would appear they follow no guidelines. They couldn't care less about the frustration they cause.

I have just spoken with the FOS and they say Lloyds have 12 weeks from the offer letter in which they have to pay you. Once 12 weeks have passed you can ring FOS and they will issue a final payment notice so they HAVE to pay. I know there is a backlog but they dont seem in any hurry to get through them.....................0

FOS have extended the goal post, as when i rang last week they told me Lloyds have 8 weeks to pay, if not then they will issue a final payment notice of 2 weeks to pay, and yes they HAVE to pay,
well it must work cause a few days after FOS issueing a final payment notice my husband had a call today saying it was passed onto a manager and his cheque should of been posted out friday and he will receive it within 5 working days, well lets see if we get it by friday.
also i did write to my mp and he did say he would help me get the payment, so i dont know if that pushed it aswell, but deep down i think the FOS did the trick0 -
Hiya, just a quick update regarding my PPI refund from Halifax.
I called Halifax on the 19th October for an update on my PPI claim, I was told that they were offering me all PPI premiums plus 8% stat interest. I told the gentleman on the phone at the time that I would accept that figure. The cheque dropped through the door this afternoon! Pretty shocked that I received it so quickly!
I only wish Lloyds were as prompt!0 -

And tell them you have been waiting 2 months to your original claim that you sent in,at least if you phone now,it will be logged now,you wont have to waste anymore time.
On the plus side !!! Santander are very quick x. good luck.0 -

Hi
What counts as the offer letter then?
The letter you get after 16 weeks with how your refund is worked out examples or the one that has your proper figures on?
I am now 9 weeks from the first !!! the first one with their figures for my loan was supposedly sent 20th Sept and the one I did receive was sent 20 Oct so does anyone know which one I count from? Thank you.
