Anyone have the chief exc email address for hsbc.

    thanks
  • Quick update on my payment, phoned LTSB this morning and they said they can not provide a timescale as to when I will receive my payment

A friend of mine received their offer last week and they have been advised 12 weeks to receive the payment from Lloyds.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from them. I think I may be contacting them on a daily basis .... if not to chase my payment but purely to annoy them!
  • :jHi, thanks to Martin`s money tips,I used the template to claim ppi back in April, from Barclays and, bingo. They paid out last week, and not ony on the one I claimed on but previous ones as well, totalling over £15000,what a result!!:j The only downside, the bank stated I may have to pay tax on the 8% compensation part.Is this correct?? Still not complainig though,

Yes, only on the 8% though.

Just received a letter from the Ombudsman today informing me that

"MBNA would like to make me an offer as a gesture of goodwill and with no admission of liability, to settle your complaint"

Im not really sure what this means exaxtly (maybe someone can help me out?!), but it seems that I have had some kind of victory over MBNA. I should let everyone know that I achieved this by sending an initial email (which was rejected by letter), and ONE further letter to The Ombudsman! Not sure yet how much i am getting back yet, but I will post as soon as I know.

    Thanks MSE!

MBNA seem to be a nightmare
I also have a complaint against MBNA being delt with by the FOS and just wondered how long the FOS took to get you to this stage?

Also, RBS have just offered a goodwill offer of £2,600 for a Mortgage RP.

If you are waiting on Halifax, please call them!!!!

I've just got off the phone from them (0845 601 4034)

They claim to have sent out 2 letters to me. One in August. One in September. I've received NEITHER!!!!

Now, I do not know if they had sent the letters out, or if I have a dodgy postman but I wouldn't have known if I hadn't phoned :(

The man said he would send both letters back out, I should read it and let them know what I think so I'm assuming it's the Do-You-Accept? or a Sod-Off letter ;)

hiya - congratulations on your offer letters!:j

i dont want to burst your bubble but a lot of people have had their letters offering money! the prob is LLoyds in particular dont seem to be handing over the money!

so providing you arent hoping to get the pennies back for at least 8 weeks you should be happy... if not this is where the frustration begins! boooo!

I've heard some scary stories about Lloyds not parting with their money. Grrr! I will keep you posted as to when the cheque drops through my letterbox. I am not going to hold my breath though. I did call Halifax to get an estimate of when I would receive payment from them. He advised that they will pay the refund into the credit card account. If the balance sits in credit for 5 working days, it prompts their accounts department to issue a cheque. My account was closed 3 years ago, so was advised that I should receive a cheque between 7-10 working days. Again, I ain't holding my breath! ;)

Is it me or are Halifax really slow at doing the calculations? There only seems to be a few payouts from halifax compared to all the other banks. I have been waiting nearly two months for my calcs and everytime I ring up, all they seem to say is that a calculation has been requested. This answer doesn't really explain much, in that is somebody actually working the calcs out or is it still in the queue to be looked at. When you ask how long is it going to be, the answer I always get is we can't say. I'm trying to be patient, but I am also getting extremely frustrated with halifax. It'll be next year by the time I see my money again!

    HI,

I have a letter from a case handler stating that my 3 Halifax CC claims will be refunded within 30 days of the date of the letter (27th Sept). This means that the Halifax have today got until 04/11/11 to pay up. Thats 8 working days away today.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I sent these acceptances back at the end of August and they were received by the Halifax then as well.

    So The Countdown Begins

According to my conversation with the FOS they expect payments to be made between 8 and 10 weeks, this conicidentally is also the same date!:cool::cool::cool:
    Money Saving-Reclaiming-And Won!!!:j:j:j:j:j

    £33,000 refunded!!! :j:j:j:j:j
  • Daily lloyds tsb call and I got more of an explanation that I had before. They say they can only process 3000 payments a day and because their are more than 3000 claims a day coming in they have a backlog, they also say they are experimenting with a new payment method which may at some point speed things up. My letter was dated 8th September and they are telling me it will be another 6-8 weeks. SO end of November then... Grrrrrr Sniff.
