Hey pingchris. Good to hear halifax are actually paying a few people!!! When did you send your acceptance back etc?

didnt have to send acceptance form back i was happy so cashed the cheques hoorah:beer:
missed direct debit charges, very odd, theres no pain so how come the big gain,i.e £39.00 for a letter
  • Just wanted to say a huge thanks to you all on here, yesterday 3 cheques arrived on my doormat, totaling just over £4500.
Some kind person on here gave me the ceo email about 3 weeks ago for mbna,I duely emailed them and got a lovely reply the young man chased the figures and i got them before the date he promised,he also said he would get them to prioritise the cheques, so 12 days from figures to cheque. His boss is going to get a lovely letter from me.
    So thanks everyone :j:j:j:j:j:j:j

Just a quick question, the letters I've had from MBNA basically say 'upheld, thsese are the amounts, a cheque will be sent within 28 days'. They also say it's their final response, no further correspondence blah blah blah.

I've noticed that a lot of the posts on here refer to having to send back an acceptance letter. MBNA haven't said anything about that, the letters basically say they're going to pay me.

Anyone have any views ? Still within the 28 days so I guess wait and see.
Apologies if this has already been answered,
my cheques arrived from mbna yesterday, 12 days after figures given and i was quoted 28. no acceptance letter to send back just figures then cheque, hth:D

Wow i am so excited about getting a figure from Natwest... I called them Friday chasing up for a figure for a loan that has been upheld, spoke to a very nice lady who said they were in fact looking at 5 loans i have had with them!!! Had totally forgotten about these other 4 loans and only complained about the last one. Await figures but what a result!!!
  • Hi All, Just thought i would share...........My OH made a claim back in May for his PPI, and as some of you here have had ,1 letter month or so later to say they had recieved complaint, the next month to appologise for delay then the 3rd to inform him that it was being upheld and the way the calculation would be made and asking for him to sign acceptance. He signed the acceptance and sent off but had a letter a day or two later with his figures some £5045.97, as it seems they have ditched the acceptance stage for some reason or other. Now this letter was dated 15th of September and YES you guessed it still no cheque.............well Friday last i was able to find the e-mail address for the CEO of LLoydstsb, I then got all info letters recieved from them in the past months gathered all dates and compiled and e-mail to the CEO, letting him know how we feel putting it politely LOL. I am now going to re-send this e-mail every day untill we get a satisfactory outcome even on weekends so he has 3 allready for Monday morning......who knows i may increase to 2 every day next week and 3 every day the week after an so on...............its got to be worth a shot.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FIGHT HAS BEGUN:D
