  • Hi All,

After waiting 47 days I finally received my offer letters from LTSB, some great news and some a bit indifferent. One full refund plus interest at 8 grand then others offering 1200 in settlement as 'due to the passage of time' there are no records, something smells a little fishy as the 8 grand refund covers a loan that was prior to the others.

Is anyone else getting similar treatment from LTSB and if so what did you do? I'm awaiting a DSAR request to come back, advice please folks.

Usual TSB, I emailed customer relations at Lloyds, had a phone call back, long explanation from pleasant person, but still didn`t resolve my problem. Understood what he was saying, asked for his supervisor due to he fact that i have been waiting 3 months for figures for 3 upheld loans. Unable to do this so i said i would be emailing CEO within 24 hrs. Had a further call following day stating letter posted that morning.
Keep at em, good luck all !!!!!!!!!! :)
  • Hi guys,

It means they refund it onto the credit card and then process a cheque from the credit card account. Probably so they have a record of refunding directly the the account is was originally taken from.

I had the same letter on the 18th and cheque by the 21st.

Hi roland. Well done on getting your cheque. Do you mind me asking When did you get your offer and send your acceptance back? A lot of us waiting on halifax so would be good to know what date theyre at!! Thanks

Letter waiting for me when I woke up off nightshift, from Halifax regarding my PPI.
A refund of just under 2 grand as a full and final offer, though I am slightly confused by this paragraph-
"It should be noted that the figure quoted above will be refunded back onto the credit card account where the PPI premiums were originally debited.Subsequently,if you have not yet received it,a cheque for this amount will be forwarded under separate cover"
Does this mean I'll get a cheque?Or it goes towards my CC account?
    Confused lol.

Hi mark! Well done!!!!!!! Do you mind giving your dates so all of us still waiting on halifax have an idea what date theyre at?? Thanks and enjoy spending your 2k!

Hi all, Just a quick post to say I filled in a complaint on behalf of my dad in the beginning of August for PPI on his loans, Overdraft and credit card with Barclays.

The reason for his complaint was he didn't ask for it, worked for the local authority who have an excellent sickness and redundancy package. Barclays staff knew he was statemented dyslexic, so everything would need to be explained to him and had they told him he would have refused.
He has had a letter today refunding him £4900 for his loans, just waiting on the other 2 complaints now.:j

Once again thanks to Di3004, Amersall, Niggly and everyone who posts with their stories as you have inspired me to help my family and friends claim back what rightfully belongs to them!!:A

That is so so fab!:T:j Well done and Congratulations!

Wonderful news indeed and good luck on the other 2 :T:T .

We are happy to help, your most welcome xx:A:A

    Hi

Well done, that is brill news!:T Congratulations!

It was the same on my last 2 from the mid 90's, they offered £1,200.00 on each one x 2, as a standard offer, because they could not find all details of the loans.
I did send them some info, statements and ask them to consider but unfortunately it still wasnt enough info, however, I am happy with that, because I recall on the one being a loan for a short time and don't think the amounts would have come to that on the one of them.

If you do have any info on the loan that you think may help, there is no harm in asking, they will let you know if its suitable or not.;)
