    Hi

I to am waiting for a Barclaycard refund and was going to try and ring them this lunchtime. I have a letter dated 12 October stating that the full amount has been paid into my bank account. I was told over a week ago it can take 3 - 5 days, but as of today, 24th October, it still has not been paid into my account. I will update this site if I manage to speak to anyone lunchtime.

An update. Have just spoken to Barclays. They told me that unfortunately the refund letters were sent out before the refunds had been made!!!! So sorry about that. My payment was made on 19th October (letter was dated 12th October) and should take 3 - 5 working days, so should appear in my account between today and Wednesday. Fingers crossed.
  • Hi.... my other half has been waiting to get through to RBS most of the morning, they are now coming up with other figures than they originally quoted!... after a harsh words they have quoted a new figures which is about the same as what we have, asked when we will receive the money they said it will be with you shortly!!......

Called Firstplus this morning as it it is now six weeks since I sent my acceptance letter back, was told no cheques have been issued yet. What a surprise it looks like I will have to wait the full eight weeks, I will chase them up again next week ;).

    An update on my update.

My bank rang me lunchtime to advise me that I have a large credit being paid into my account tomorrow (Barclaycard refund) and that it was a courtesy call advising me. I can't help but think that Lloyds are being nosy, but thought I would let you know that payment will therefore be received four working days from when paid.

Okay quick update... got through to the FOS, they state that the banks have been given very clear and concise instructions on what to pay out and how interest they should pay, so the nice lady at FOS is ringing RBS getting it all in writing, passing it onto an adjudicator and will ring us in 2 weeks, seriously... after over 12 months the bank are still trying to pull a fast one, she said this is nothing new and something they see on a recuring basis as people are unable to work out the complex repayments and accepting that the figures the banks are calculating are correct...Check your figures guys!

Hi, I have been watching the post's on here for some time now and this is my first posting. I placed my complaints to Barclays and Lloyds TSB early in July 2011.
Received investigation letters from both dated 13th july 2011 followed by an upheld letter from Barclays on 26th August with a redress calculation, I signed and returned it on the same day and it was logged into their system on the 1st September. I have just phoned them today and for once had an update by a very nice gentleman ( Simon Bradley ).
They are sending out approx 500 cheques a day and there is a letter waiting to be sent out already drafted to me they are just waiting for the cheque to be issued from another department but it should take less than two weeks, I was asked to call back in a week if nothing arrives.
As for Lloyds who I bank with not a thing rang them today no information can be given and according to them they have until 1st of November to reply even if the claim is not upheld. What a load of rubbish Lloyds are.

    Hi
You are Lucky, I can't even get my figures from Lloyds, I had my upheld letter dated 22 August a duplicate was sent in error to me 26 August, sent both acceptance forms back on days of delivery, 26 August and 5 Sept respectivly, Phoned to ask where figures are on many occasions and e-mailed CEO who say because of data protection they cannot discuss by e-mail !!! I explained on the phone that because of mum who lives 200 miles away and is to have heart surgery I need the money that after all IS mine, but just get loads of empty promises, as you will see my 28 day wait from acceptance is long past. I am so angry with Lloyds TSB and so worried that I may not be able to visit my mother who is to have a very serious opperation.

    Hi,

Well progress has been made, I today received my figures from Lloyds TSB, this letter I was told is a duplicate of the one that was apparently sent 20 September 2011 that never arrived, This one I had today was dated 20 OCTOBER 2011, The calculations were up to 13 October, a week before the letter!!! Something is wrong here as I have NOT had my cheque, Any ideas where I go now, I feel I am banging my head on a brick wall!!!

  • My offer from LTSB was dated 8 September and I still have no payment so don't expect to get your money any time soon.

They are now saying they have no way of telling how long it will be till you get paid and nobody on here seems to have had a payment from Lloyds despite claims that they issue 3000 cheques each day!
