As for Lloyds who I bank with not a thing rang them today no information can be given and according to them they have until 1st of November to reply even if the claim is not upheld. What a load of rubbish Lloyds are.

When I put in my claim initially, I was told by an extremely nice man to phone at any time to check on the progress.
I also phoned LTSB today and was basically told not to bother phoning them as they couldn`t tell me whether my claim has been upheld or not until 11th Nov (which is when my 16 weeks are up). Why bother telling us one thing when they mean another?[/QUOTE]
  • I don't believe they are anywhere near responding within 16 weeks. My claim has been in 18 weeks and still no response! I don't have the time to spend on hold waiting for them to answer my call so keep emailing and have just written to them again.

    Make Claims Firms Pay
Click below to ‘sign’ the online e-petition which aims to force claims firms to pay a £500 fee to the Financial Ombudsman Service for every claim of mis-selling against a broker or financial adviser that is deemed to be without merit.

Currently brokers have to pay £500 every time a claims firm makes a complaint against them whether the claim is false or true - it is putting many out of business. Claims firms should have to do the same to stop them making complaints that are unfounded.
We do not disagree with claims firms making complaints, we just do not want them to do it where the product was never sold by the adviser and the claims firm is just 'trying their luck'.
    Please help!

  • Hi everyone, long time reader but first time poster. I thought i would share my experiences with Lloyds tsb.

I made a claim on 28th May for one loan with ppi and got a letter around 10th sept or so upholding my complaint. On the 18th Sept i got a letter with the figures and they had added in previous loans that i had ppi with into the calculations, giving me a grand total of £16,568. Shocked was not the word! Been brought down to earth now however, when i phoned straight after i got the letter i requested the money via bank transfer and not cheque which they have accepted. I was told this can be slightly quicker form of payment too. I was told 4 weeks. Chased them up 2 weeks ago, got told up to 7 weeks, chased them today, got told no idea. The lady told me they are not even half way through processing the refunds from the august letters so i could be waiting another 6 weeks or so. I think ill email them direct now and ask if its acceptable for me to defer any current cc payment until i can be bothered to pay it, just like them.

    Hi

That is exactly how I feel - when we owe them, they can charge us interest and late charges, so I think we should all do the same to them. Yesterday I had a phone call from LLoyds regarding a large payment due into my account today. This large payment was a PPI refund from another bank. Why did Lloyds feel it necessary for a courtesy call to tell me I had a credit due the following day. Because they were being nosy, and because I was in their favour (for once) for having so much credit. I owe a credit card payment this week, I also feel like saying 'you know what, you owe me more than I owe you, so pay me and I'll pay you'!!! Let me know what they say if you do decide.
  • hi
Can anyone help. Iv had two offers from rbs. The deadline to pay me is tomorrow 26th. Iv now had a letter saying it may take another four weeks and they would pay me interest on every day it is late.. Can anyone tell me what interest they will pay each day. thanks
  • On 2nd September this year i returned the "offer" payments forms to the Halifax and am still waiting for a response as to how much i will receive and when it will be. Whenever i ring to ask, im told they do not know yet. How long do i have to wait - is there a genuine timescale for them to pay me out ?
  • I have been waiting for a payment from Lloyds after receiving my offer letter dated 13th September. I have just rang to be told that I just have to wait until my file gets to the top of the queue, I also attempted to change my payment from a cheque to a payment into my account to which she replied that was not possible as I was in a better position to receive a cheque. In my calculations my letter stated that the interest was calculated up until 13th October, does anyone know if they will change it to fit the dates they actually send the payments out? Have emailed CEO, Amy Carpenter, Ian Hallett and Andrea Barry today so waiting for a response from them. Very frustrated with Lloyds and will seriously consider changing banks as soon as my payment comes through.
