Well...
Firstplus HatTrick!!
I received confirmation of my first win against FirstPlus last week as a lot of you know.
I had a second claim against a loan from 2007. I should have had the decision by 29th September. But alas no letter. The other half spoke to them yesterday and told him that the second claim had been upheld, however just to make doubley sure, (i'm a bit anal like that!) I have rung them today to hear it for myself.
Yes! The second claim has been upheld. They were in fact going to reject the claim, but as the CEO was involved on the previous claim, they had to uphold the claim as the loan was prior to that successful claim.
That is not the best of it...
The loan in 2007 was to borrow additional funds on a loan we already had. I knew about this loan, but didn't have any details about it, I was going to wait and claim at a later date after I had seen the outcome of the other two claims. But no need!
Firstplus have looked into any previous loans we have had, and are paying up on all three loans!!!
The payout for the two tied into one is £12,651
Along with the payout of the other one that is a grand total of £26,651.:j:j:j:D:D:D
Please do not give up, if you get rejected the first time, there are other avenues to go down that will lead you to the road to success. We are living proof! The final decision doesn't alway mean FINAL final decision!
Just the waiting game now for the cheques to arrive. But I figure the longer I wait, the bigger the payment due to the 8% interest so i'm in no hurry! The decision has been made so what can a few weeks' wait hurt?

We couldn't have done it without all the additional help from the Money Saving Experts. :A
Just playing the waiting game now.
Have you heard anything more? Did they receive your acceptance letter? They haven't scanned mine into the system yet

Ooops! I never thought to check... I will call them shortly
If they've not lost it I think we should get ours mid December.
How long did they give you to accept the offer? We were given just 2 weeks to reply.
Well done again

I recd a letter yesterday saying it could take upto a further 4 weeks to deal with more complex cases. I am claiming £14K which is made up of 5 different amounts. I have today checked my account and was SHOCKED  to see that they had paid in £3000. this is made up of 3 of the smaller claims leaving £11000 still due to me. I just hope I get this within the new time frame.0
