Hi,
Just thought I'd mention the fact that I went home to the same letter a few of you got yesterday, saying that there maybe another 4 week delay:mad: I think its all a bit weired as my 28 days was up yesterday and they sent a delaying letter on exactly that day and I have noticed a few others have exactly the same situation. If they have time to send out these letters why haven't they got time to process the cheques??? I am beginning to think this is serious stalling tactics and/or they haven't the money to refund us, am seriously having doubts now as to ever seeing this money. Just hope Watchdog picks up on the story as per my previous post, the banks need to be shamed into sending us back our money so hope as many of you as possible have sent an email to BBC Watchdog:mad::mad::mad::mad:0 -

Hi All,
I'm getting really frustrated with Lloyds TSB, I got a letter dated on the 8th September saying that we had 11k coming! totally unexpected, we were expecting about 3k, and a life changing sum of money. Once its through we will be debt free AND it will cover the cost of our very small wedding and honeymoon in march/april.
I CANNOT get a straight answer out of them about payment, I've phoned every day and get told that NO ONE knows the payment timescales. I was told originally 21 working days (its now 28) then 6-8 weeks. I find it incredibly hard that they cannot at least set a realistic expectation.
I spoke to the financial ombudsmen people last night, they said they can do something once 8 weeks is up (3rd November) but it might reset the timing to the beginning.
Does anyone know anything else about this?
Thanks

Well done on your redress ...............:j
& congratulations on your big day ............:j
I would give them until the 8 weeks is up & hope it is sooner, easier to say than do im sure but the wait will be well worth it in the end. Best of luck:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

Ok, well that takes us up to the 3rd November, so not long to wait. Someone on the phone yesterday said 'it'll be before christmas' I do hope so. We're so looking forward to being debt free.0

Basically I do get sparadic re-payments Into my account
from N.W.I.S.
As long as I send them regular Dr letters and stuff (which I have to pay for)...
So my dilema is;-...Yes I know it was miss-sold, because I didnt know I had it untill my personal banking manager "Told Me!!" ...
So IF;-...I get some money back from them ...
Can I still claim against it being mis-sold to me??...
The obstacle you would have here,is the fact you are claiming on this and the product is suitable for you,so you could not use that as a reason for mis sell.
Look here for reasons for mis sell and if any of these apply to you, then put a claim in.

Just to let you know, the money you recieve now for your claim, may be more than the actual ppi,so if you were to win mis sell, they will not owe you anything. So my dilema is;-...Yes I know it was miss-sold, because I didnt know I had it untill my personal banking manager "Told Me!!" ...0 -
Hi guys, newbie and long time lurker here (have posted this in Lloyds tsb thread but thought best post here also - hope thats ok)
I have been reading the forums for some time and decided to put in a claim with lloyds for a platinum credit card account (after initially thinking i couldnt because I owe them quite a large amount of money which is with their credit management team).
Lloyds had sold me ppi and then refused to payout due to a pre-existing illness. Anyway I am pleased to say I have today received a cheque for the full amount (none paid towards outstanding debt). Hopefully now I can make a deal for a reduced payment to clear the outstanding debt. I have been off work ill for almost three years now and I am breathing a little easier for the first time in ages.
Just for information for others who are waiting on lloyds, I spoke to lloyds and they told me that credit card ppi repayments are up to date (true or not - i dont know) but the lady i spoke to did say I should receive my cheque by the end of this week and it has arrived so......
my claim was acknowledged 25 May 2011
Received upheld letter with acceptance 24 August 2011
Received calculations letter saying no need to send acceptance 15 September 2011.
Thank you to MSE forum and all the forumites whose stories encouraged me to take the steps to do this. :T
ps. I had a call from a claims management company earlier this year offering their services - however when I told them I was in arrears they said they could not help me. :laugh:and double
Thanks again :T and well done to everyone who is winning.0 -
mine was with lloyds and i kept onto them ringing once a week till they told us it had been upheld on phone and also told us the calculations on the phone .0

Have just rung Lloyds and was told they had sent out three letters to tell us our claim has not been upheld and if we want to cancell the PPi we would have to take another loan for the remaining amount on the old loan. The old loan finishes in May so what is the point in that.
Did they tell you why your claims were not upheld? I would contact the financial omnibusman and get them to investigate for you just to make sure your not being fobbed off.
Good Luck.0 -

My credit card calculations where dated the 8th September and I have still not received any cheques through the post you are so lucky to get your cheque.
Obviously Lloyds haven't put your money on the credit card then which is good!.
Just hope mine turn up soon the money will come in rather handy for next year!!.
Also did you phone the PPI line to get an answer about when your cheque was to arrive?
Thanks for your post!.0
