was the ppi on your current loan £1,962.34 by any chance? if so they have refunded this into your laon account to make the loan as it should have been without the ppi, hope that may help a little
Its all confusing as a few month ago I had a refund made to my account which they said was a PPI refund too. I'm not entirely sure what the PPI left on the loan was.
I dont get where the £7k payment (as oppased to £9K) is0 -
Grrr... After my initial joy of receiving my MPPI cheque from Halifax on Monday (17th Oct), I've now realised that I won't be able to pay it in to my account as the cheque was written out to both my wife and myself (we don't have a joint account). When I returned the acceptance form I filled in the box stating that i would like the cheque written out to myself!. So now I've had to re-phone them up again asking for another `correct' cheque to be sent. And breathe... 1.. 2... 3.... :mad:0

PPI refund and interest are paid seperately.
I received my Natwest PPI refund in to my account yesterday, and interest in to my account today. Keep checking x
Ahhh OK thanks a lot that would explain it if it is the case doh!
Well done to you, congratulations!!
Best news I've had an a long time xx0 -

it is a little bit of a minefield! :rotfl:
i think if you add the two amounts up, you should see your £9K i think they have just taken the ppi amount off the loan, as to stop you paying interest on this & return you to the state if you hadnt of taken the ppi with your loan, which if the loan is current they have to do (i think) as if the loan was paid up/finished etc you would get the whole amount back, hopefully someone may know a little more:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

Direct Line Mastercard / RBS Q:
Has anyone received a cheque for payment for PPI upheld on a Direct Line Mastercard yet? I have been told my cheque was requested over 2 weeks ago, now well past the 'endeavoured' 28 days payment, and understand that cheques are being sent directly from Southend, but there is no way of checking 'when' at central RBS PPI towers.... and that there is no phone number I can call to ask in the Southend offices......so frustrating. Basically it might be another 4 weeks, but I have had no letter to advise me of this - and ultimately they just don't know! Very lax if they now send a letter saying it will be another 4 weeks when they are well past their first supposed payment date.
I do appreciate the volume they must be handling, but surely they have internal processes / lines of communication which could provide this information??
Wondered if anyone had received any cheques direct from Southend yet, and if so was it within or near the proposed timelines?
Or, who I can call / email to 'endeavour' to get an update on this overdue payment?
Thanks.0 -

RBS, just spoke to a chappy and they also told me there could be an extra 4 weeks delay in receiving the offers, BUT they are doing their best to get it into our accounts within the 28 working days !!
Im yet to receive a letter regarding the extra 4 weeks, can i assume maybe i will get mine soon,
UNLIKELY0 -

I just wanted to say thank you to MSE for the advice on claiming PPI. I had a relativly 'small' loan with Barclays Bank £5000, they originally told me that unless I agreed to PPI I would not get the loan, so I agreed - desperate times and all that!
However with just one letter and a few weeks wait I have been refunded £1200 and with the PPI reduction on the extisting loan amount, I can now clear the loan and be debt free!
Please everyone should make a claim, I may have been one of the lucky ones to get it sorted so quickly all it cost me was the price of a first class stamp!
Good luck to everyone going through the process!0 -
I have just spoken to Lloyds about my cheque, informing that my calculations letter was dated the 13th September.
The answer was that they are just now clearing the August letters, have taken on extra staff, and that I should call back in "a couple of weeks" to see how far the backlog is down then.
Congratulations to everyone who have received their payments from other banks, (and the FEW with Lloyds.......)
P.S. I WANT MY MONEY lol0
