    Hi,

I have successfully reclaimed £14500 back in PPI claims from RBS, Santander (alliance&leicester), Northern Rock and Egg.
I wrote a letter to each company complaining that I mis-sold PPI using the following statement

I believe PPI was mis-sold for the following reasons
    · I was not asked if I had any insurance policy in place if I lost my income
    · I was not told PPI was optional
    · The quote I received included PPI in the repayments
    · I was not told I could arrange my own PPI elsewhere
    · I was not asked about my employers sickness policy with regards to sick pay
All it cost me was a stamp and some time.
Avoid using the companies that advertise they will do it for you!!

Well done & great advise .........

My claim went in in August LAST year. Offer received August THIS year. Acceptance letter posted 28 Aug but not received by RBS until 5 Sep they say. I rang to assure myself that they had received letter and, without me asking, the lady told me I would receive the money on 12 October in my account. No money as yet. They should not make promises they cannot keep and they should be dealing with all these claims in date order. That is what is annoying me the most.

Gave them a ring this morning on 0800 0150319. Only took four minutes to answer. Very nice young lady told me it could be two to three weeks yet before the money goes into my account but they will be adding interest on up until the day they pay it in. It may possibly be sooner but they are running 2/3 weeks late. Advised me to just keep checking my account daily.
  • Hi,

Has anyone had an offer from Lloyds Bank which was lower than it should have been which went on to be revised and the correct amount paid out?

Also has anyone battled with HSBC who insisted you had no ppi and the account was older than 6 years etc so they refused to send statements etc?

    Many thanks!
  • Still heard nothing here :( Supposed to hear by the 28th (16 week deadline) but thought i might hear from BOS and LLoydsTSB by now . .
    According to ABBA apparently it's a rich mans' world . . .:p

I sent claim form off beginning of september 2011, logged on there system 6/9/11.

offer of over £2800 recieved on 13/10/11.
posted back acceotance slip recorded delivery same day.

Hsbc signed for letter on 14/10/11.

Got home from work yesterday to find the money has credited to my account 17/10/11.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j.

The speed of my claim may have something to do with the fact that i emailed the ceo of HSBC at every stage.

My claim took approx 6 weeks

    Hi Kath,

    Well done!

What were your reasons for the mis-selling please?

    Thanks x

    Hi
I received an offer from LLoyds for PPI refund on a Credit Card. I rang and challenged the amount but was told the payment was already in the system and could not be stopped. I was told that they would recalculate and then give me any difference owed.

It does all seem a bit fishy. I dont understand why my refund came thru within 3 weeks of my offer yet most people seem to be being told theres a huge backlog and it will takes weeks to pay out. I;m wondering now if they rush thru payments for disputed offers in order to try to get away with paying the proper amount??? I have emailed the ceo and was assured that the procedure is correct and that they are looking into the recalculation so I'll just have to wait....again......

After fightiing with HFC for over 18 months with the help of Di3004 l have finally been rewarded, HFC stated they destroyed all my paperwork after l requested a SAR and they would not investigate my PPI complaint, l had spoke to CS executive who advise me all details where on system. I had to persue this with over 20 letters to them and CEO got involved. Then after all this the Manager PPI department got involved and investigated and found the destroyed paperwork. I have been awarded over £3000 plus £150 for compensation. I received a email last night from Manager of complaints stating they have my acceptance and will be paid in to my account within 28 days.
Thanks to all on this site and especially Di3004:A
Dont give up because l nearly did and now glad l never.
