    Hi Folks,

Just a bit of an update on HSBC. We received an offer for PPI redress last Wednesday (12th). We signed and returned in last Thursday (13th) and much to our surprise, the money is now in the current account!

After some of the horror stories on this site, I'm not sure if we have just been very lucky or HSBC are finally getting their act together. Either way I'm delighted! Hopefully the flood gates will now open for the rest of the guys who are awaiting payment.
  • Three loans with Bank of Scotland, called them in May - received letter on Saturday morning advising final figures they were refunding me were £14261 - - i had expected between 7000 and 9000, so this was a really nice surprise!
  • Sent a form downloaded from MSE off to Bank of Scotland about PPI being miss sold end of July.Never heard a thing,so rather than call as I hate talking on the phone.I filled a compaint form out on their site last week, just saying how disappointed I was had had no letter or call from them. Also asking if they could please update me on their progress on my claim.

Well got a fab suprise this am opened a letter and out fell a cheque for £995 more than happy.original loan was for £3000.

Just wanted to Say Thank you MSE and all the team as would not have thought about even doing this otherwise.
Credit Cards, Vanquis £3000 Capitalone £1500
    Accessory(sygma) £1250
    Littlewoods £2900,Very £1600

    Hi,
Today I received my cheque, £619, from MBNA - Took about 20 days so not bad!!!

Today I received another turn down from EGG who said they had reviewed my case again but still would not uphold my complaint. I have however, already contacted the FOS and this reply is a reply to a letter I sent to EGG before I did that. I have written back today saying that I must have been unaware that the tick box was pre-ticked and for the reason I was unadvised, alone, should be enough for the decision to go my way. I have forwarded this and the letter from EGG to the FOS as well. I won't give up that easily as I am right, they are wrong.

Well done that is fab!:T Congratulations!

I sent claim form off beginning of september 2011, logged on there system 6/9/11.

offer of over £2800 recieved on 13/10/11.
posted back acceotance slip recorded delivery same day.

Hsbc signed for letter on 14/10/11.

Got home from work yesterday to find the money has credited to my account 17/10/11.:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j.

The speed of my claim may have something to do with the fact that i emailed the ceo of HSBC at every stage.

My claim took approx 6 weeks

    Well done Kath:T Congratulations!

  • Hi,

I have successfully reclaimed £14500 back in PPI claims from RBS, Santander (alliance&leicester), Northern Rock and Egg.
I wrote a letter to each company complaining that I mis-sold PPI using the following statement

I believe PPI was mis-sold for the following reasons
    · I was not asked if I had any insurance policy in place if I lost my income
    · I was not told PPI was optional
    · The quote I received included PPI in the repayments
    · I was not told I could arrange my own PPI elsewhere
    · I was not asked about my employers sickness policy with regards to sick pay
All it cost me was a stamp and some time.
Avoid using the companies that advertise they will do it for you!!

Hi 50 working days since they received my acceptance of their offer. Will phone again today for a "progress" report. I am waiting for a large amount but it is money they have wrongfully taken over a long period of time. I have always been self emloyed. Will let you know when I'm not fed up.

Congratulations to all those who have had their money returned.

Fingers crossed for you, hope your not waiting much longer now.;)
