    Hi Keewee
My cheque arrived on the 28th working day. It was handwritten
I send an initial email to Stephen hester and got a generic email back which I responded sarcastically to as didn't answer any of my questions. When I received no response I forwarded the email trail to Stephen Hester and received a cheque a week later. Not sure if it was coincidince or my pushing but might be worth a few emails to the CEO.

I am using the same tactics on MBNA and they seem to be working

    Best of luck

    Thanks for your reply Glimmer!
I have an account with Natwest (unfortunately ha ha) so I bet they will take ages to pay it. I am sure they set it with a timer or something to pay 10 days later than the 28 working days.
Personally I think it is a complete liberty they quote that long in the first place. I have email Hester twice, got a standard letter reply on Friday.
I am also claming against MBNA, but have only had a letter from them asking me to phone them asking for more details.
They managed to 'find' me, but not holding out too much hope as the loan finished in 2000 or 2001.
    :(

    BANK - RBS
    Amount reclaimed - circa £15k (3 loans)
    Amount paid £12,400
    Timescale - 3 months

I received 3 seperate reclaim packs from companies following telephone calls. On reading the information supplied I thought, surely I could do this on my own without paying hefty 20-25% charges to them for doing nothing more than them forwarding the forms to my bank.
I printed off the form from martins website and sent it along with copies of my 3 old loan agreements and a covering letter. That was about 3 months ago and I received a reply advising it could take upto 3 months. At the weekend just past i received a reply and a goodwill offer of approx £8000, £2.5k and £1.3k. Not at all bad and the best thing was NO 25% for intermediary for doing absolutely nothin.
    Thanks Martin

My claim went in in August LAST year. Offer received August THIS year. Acceptance letter posted 28 Aug but not received by RBS until 5 Sep they say. I rang to assure myself that they had received letter and, without me asking, the lady told me I would receive the money on 12 October in my account. No money as yet. They should not make promises they cannot keep and they should be dealing with all these claims in date order. That is what is annoying me the most.

I wonder if there is a pattern here - was your loan a Natwest or RBS loan?
Some people seem to be being paid before the 28 working days, others long after.
I'm on working day 19 - Natwest loan.
My acceptance letter was received by them on the 21st of September.
I had another acceptance letter for a seperate loan which they received on the 2nd of October (despite being sent a week earlier)
Wonder which will be paid first!!
It was interesting actually - the first letter I sent back in my own envelope and was logged as being received just a couple of days later. The second I sent in their Pre Paid (albeit 2nd class) this was a logged a week later! I am sure 2nd class isn't that slow!

exact same date.... every day another email goes to CEO and another phone call is made, ive never had a response from emails to CEO though (nor a bounceback so i know he is getting them) i get told different info all the time ive been told 3 weeks ive been told 8 weeks, 10 weeks before the end of the year, the last call was that they are currently working towards claims from the middle of august and they are working overtime to get through the back log (bullsh*t) its just weird i have not seen any posts regarding a cheque winner anyone who has succeeded with lloyds has been BACS im getting a bit worried now cause this cash is whats gonna fund my childrens xmas

    Hi there,
I can't alleviate your fears about the illusive chqs because I got mine via BACS. however, I did manage to get it quicker because like you one day I was told it'd be no more than 10 days, the next it'll take months!
I demanded to speak to a manager after being told on numerous occasions that it would be with me within the week, and whilst telling me that was incorrect, because they had said it and logged it in their notes, the manager made a special effort to pick out my payment and I had it through within 2 days! Definately worth a try.

Interesting we got our upheld letter last July 19th 2011, our claim has been in with RBS since Sept 23rd 2010, we have not been provided with any figures, we were told in the letter if you accept not to do anything, so we didnt, waited for a letter with some figures, nothing, we rang last week and they came up with some crazy low figure and we said nope thats not right, so they came back with a better higher figure and said we will be sending you a cheque soon (but we cant tell you when), if you dont agree with it, let us know and we will look at it again, we said we dont agree with it now!!... they are claiming that when we settled the loan all those years ago they gave us a refund of the PPI, well they didnt and the FOS have said they have to prove they refunded you... so still waiting for the money.... any of it!

Have you emailed the CEO? You should put your story on Watchdog too. This is fast becoming a joke now.

    So Far:

    1x Lloyds Credit card £3.5K
    1 x MBNA CC - £15k

I did a credit check through one of the credit reference agencies and noticed on my account I had 4 loans in the past 10 years (2 x Lloyds and 2 x MBNA). The credit report only gives you the last 4 digits form the account number, so I sent off letter to both MBNA & Lloyd on the off chance I might get somewhere as I couldn’t remember if I had PPi or not it was such a long time ago.

Got a letter today form MBNA saying they are upholding both in my favour and would get back to me in 6 weeks with the amounts. Both loans were about 7k so not sure of what to expect.

But I had almost missed out only because I had checked my credit history did I see the other accounts !

Good times – Thanks to all here for the knowledge that has allowed me to put these claims in.

Hi, I think latest news is payment 6 to 8 weeks from date of letter. Hope this helps.:)

Just off the phone to LLOYDS TSB, said they sent out letter (without figures on 22/09/11). Mmm, I sent back acceptance letter(figures had been sent) on 17/09/11. Couldn`t make it up could you ?????????
When i told them this it magically appeared on her screen that i had accepted offer.
Then i questioned when i might see this money. Basically don`t know, ring back in a month. Waiting for a call from manager, not holding my breath.
They can`t be this inept, just at it !!!!! Keep trying and good luck all.
