    Hello Dilus

I sent a letter to Bank Of Scotland on 6th July and they said they would aim to get back to me by 24th October. I received the letter today although the letter was dated for 5th October. So around about 12-13 weeks estimated. They have added the 8% interest to 2nd November so I believe I should receive the cheque by then. I hope that helps.

Many thanks djli, that gives me a good idea of how long I can expect to wait. All though I am more than willing to let them take the full 16 weeks. Did they pay back the APR on the PPI as well as the 8% ?

    congrats, great win.

How long did it Take Barclaycard to uphold the complaint after it been re-opened??? I have a similar situation with barclaycard about a morgan stanley complaint, first they didnt uphold so i complained and it was re-opened

They upheld it within two weeks, I got an email from them saying that they would reinvestigate it, and that they would get back in touch within two weeks. So they were really quick.

Good luck with your claim, stick with it!

    Lily
  • Well done :j

Our time scales were about the same, I think we both got NO about the same time. The cheeky so and so's!!

Mine was upheld finally about a week ago with us receiving similar figures to yourself :D

I'll let you know when I receive the cheque :T:T

    Well done Helen :j

It feels so great to have had a positive result. Especially after Firstplus knocked us back.

I felf really down when that rejection letter came through the post, but then I was over the moon when I came back from holiday and had such a result!!!:D:D:D

Keep me posted about your cheque and I will you.

Another Halifax bankers draft arrived today.

Paid into HSBC and 13th and will clear on the 18th.

Paid into Halifax on the 12th and will not clear until the 19th.

    Hmmmmnnnn.

So basically a Bankers draft, drawn from the Halifax and paid into the Halifax, takes 7 days to clear (5 working days).

But paid into a different bank from the originators account and it only takes 5 days (3 working days)

Can't help but think something is a miss here

    YIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I have just won back my overdraft protection from Barclays to the tune of £1972.00.

Anyone with a Barclays additions account scan your statement to see if you have been paying overdraft protection which you didn't know about. I did and claimed MY money back!!!!!

I would like to Thank Di, Amsersall, Niggly and the usual suspects.
    :A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A:A

I want to specially thank Di, as with your help in writing an email to the CEO of MBNA, they are now reviewing the refusal (final response) they gave me, and will get back to me in a few weeks.
