I have been reading the forum for some time, but this is my first post.
Received confirmation from First Plus of £8300 rebate of PPI payment which will be with us by 28/10 - we complained last Oct so were waiting for court case
On the day of court case I complained to Lloyds and received letter yesterday offering £6300 from loans in 2001, 2003 and 2004 - absolute bonus as didn't realise we had 3 loans and only expected £500 back
Superb! Well done!:T & Congratulations!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Received a fantastic payout of £1423.88 from Virgin Credit Card. This dates back to 2003. Very easy and all done over the phone. No forms or questionnaires to fill in. Breakdown as follows:
Total amount of PPI premiums sold since sale date: £400.64
Total amount of interest associated with PPI premiums: £848.26
Total amount of 8% interest: £174.98

Hi All
Just had to post on here as you were my inspiration. Myself and my wife took out a joint secured loan with FirstPlus back in 2004 settled the loan in 2006 by refinancing again with Firstplus plus extra funds. Settled this through a re-mortgage in 2008.
I wrote to Firstplus in 2009 saying I believed that I was missold PPI as I was not made aware it only covered the first named person on the policy even though it was a joint loan secured against a joint mortgage.
They wrote back and said they had investigated it and were satisfied that I was not missold the PPI. I wrote again after this year’s court ruling at the beginning of August 2011 using the template found on this website and investing in one first class stamp.
We got a letter yesterday they are upholding my claim and are sending us 2 cheques totalling
£10,628.39 :j:beer:
We are literally both in shock....
Anybody thinking of doing it and still not sure. DO IT NOW
Good luck everyone I'am off on Holiday.
Xx
WOW! That is fab:T well done and Congratulations!
And enjoy your holiday, well deserved!:jThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
i really like to thank you for this message we got our paperwork out and looking at it realised they have only paid us from 2004, when the card had run since 2001 to 2008 . we was always using the card . three times we paid this card off 8860,32 on one occasion and another 8190.32 and took it to the limit again .we had said it didnt seem right that we had a offer of 9052.69 we dont expect it to be a lot more but would of expected to get a bigger figure than they had calculated at least. when we had been paying 72.00 or more ppi. so i took advice from this quote and phoned this morning and they have made a seperate claim from 2001 to 2004 like you ill be waiting for 12 weeks that is the time scale they have give me. we dont really know what to expect figure wise
id like to thank allfushere for his post and pompey 2540 -
Was told money would be in my account on Wed 12/10/11 but as usual I was misinformed by the lovely people at RBS. Just checked account today - no money in yet again. Thus claim has been going on since August last year. My loan was over seven years and I never missed a payment. Can you imagine how they would be chasing me if i owed them? I am totally pi**ed off!

Hi All,
I was watching Watchdog last night and Martin Lewis being on there gave me an idea. Why don't we all email Watchdog with a new story and highlight the fact that all the banks are now holding on to our money for extraordinary lengths of time. It seems there was a lot of publicity surrounding the PPI misselling, but doesn't seem to have been a follow up does there and I think this should be highlighted to shame the Banks into paying back to the money we have been told we are owed. Why should they be allowed to take 28 days (+) to pay us back what is rightly ours, would they allow us the same timescale, I doubt it. If you agree could you go on the BBC's Watchdog site and click on Your Story and send an email with brief details. This the Banks need a kick up the backside and know Martin is the man to do!!!:beer::j0 -
Many thanks djli, that gives me a good idea of how long I can expect to wait. All though I am more than willing to let them take the full 16 weeks. Did they pay back the APR on the PPI as well as the 8% ?0
