Thank you so much for the advice that is offered on this page. I followed the instructions you gave, it has been a long slog, but 2 years later I am now £16k better off for the sake of a few letters and many phone calls to chase payment. Not only did I receive what I was owed but compensation and interest on my stalled payment because of last years court case! What a brilliant website this truely is.....:T0

I have been reading the forum for some time, but this is my first post.
Received confirmation from First Plus of £8300 rebate of PPI payment which will be with us by 28/10 - we complained last Oct so were waiting for court case
On the day of court case I complained to Lloyds and received letter yesterday offering £6300 from loans in 2001, 2003 and 2004 - absolute bonus as didn't realise we had 3 loans and only expected £500 back0 -

Received a fantastic payout of £1423.88 from Virgin Credit Card. This dates back to 2003. Very easy and all done over the phone. No forms or questionnaires to fill in. Breakdown as follows:
Total amount of PPI premiums sold since sale date: £400.64
Total amount of interest associated with PPI premiums: £848.26
Total amount of 8% interest: £174.98

Hi All
Just had to post on here as you were my inspiration. Myself and my wife took out a joint secured loan with FirstPlus back in 2004 settled the loan in 2006 by refinancing again with Firstplus plus extra funds. Settled this through a re-mortgage in 2008.
I wrote to Firstplus in 2009 saying I believed that I was missold PPI as I was not made aware it only covered the first named person on the policy even though it was a joint loan secured against a joint mortgage.
They wrote back and said they had investigated it and were satisfied that I was not missold the PPI. I wrote again after this year’s court ruling at the beginning of August 2011 using the template found on this website and investing in one first class stamp.
We got a letter yesterday they are upholding my claim and are sending us 2 cheques totalling
£10,628.39 :j:beer:
We are literally both in shock....
Anybody thinking of doing it and still not sure. DO IT NOW
Good luck everyone I'am off on Holiday.
