  • I checked my bank account today as I usually get a text from them each day telling me how much I'm overdrawn and this had nt happened today. I was extremely please to see they had paid me direct to bank - £2470!!!!

I received my offer letter on 24 September and disputed the amount on 26 Sept, as 2 years prior to 2004 have not been added to the calculation. I was told that it was too late to stop the original offer being paid but they would recalculate and send the difference at a later date. Im very sceptical of what info LLoyds give me nowadays so I rang to check this on 11 Oct and I was also told that the original offer payment would take at least 3 more weeks.

    So Im chuffed!
So offer to payment in 3 weeks!
  • Hi There,

I sent two claims off, one to HFC Bank (part of HSBC) and one to Lloyds TSB, they were both sent in May.

So far I have received a full refund of £5500 from HFC but nothing from Lloyds.

I had a letter from them in August saying they were making me an offer but no figures have been mentioned. I was to sign the acceptance form and send it back they would then work it all out and get back to me. As of today still nothing.

Does anyone have any ideas what they are playing at and how long this may take.

Hi Vicki. I got my Lloyds offer letter at the end of August. This was then followed up by a letter with figure break-down about 20 days later. I'd give them a ring if I was you.

  • Thanks for that.

I've called them today and they have said that there is nothing showing on the system and that they will e-mail the relevant department and if I have not had a letter in a week to call back.
  • I recieved a calculations letter from BOS with interest up to 6/10/2011 I still have not recieved a cheque or payment.

I sent my acceptance form back previous to recieving the calculations letter and rang them Last thurs and they told me the money would be with me soon.
I am confused as to what to do now.
    Any advise pls

Hi there,i assume this was done through FSCS?if it was ring them and ask either for the loan to be reset or the ppi to be cancelled and given back to you.

If you don't mind me asking, how long did HFC take to pay into your account? I've been waiting a couple of weeks now.
  • First the good news..After one questionairre MBNA have sent me a letter to say they will repay me £619 (that was Sept 25th) within 28 days :)

Not so good - EGG replied and waffled on about the pre tick box etc..I wrote to there CEO and had a mail back saying they would forward the mail and I wrote a letter asking them to review. I also sent for mY SARS. This was all around the 20th Sept. I did not get my reply in 2 weeks from EGG and as yet not received my SARS. I have lost patience and sent everything to the FOS, so we will wait and see on that one.

Not so good - Capital One - Replied back and said not upholding as I applied on line. After applYing on line apparently I then phoned them to activate my card (all normal so far). On activating the card apparently I then agreed to PPI. Who would on activating a card ask for PPI? They also state that they offered a non advisory PPI, but later stated that it was explained to me after I activated the card! Contradicting themselves all the while! So no messing about, I have sent everything to the FOS today.

Still waiting on others to reply - First Plus - They say it was the broker - they don't exist - FSCS say it was before 2005 so can't help - FOS say the insurer takes responsibility - Insurer says it;s First Plus - I sent all back to FOS as feeling like a tennis ball

Paragon = they say it's Acorn- I sent a form to FSCS last week

HFC - Letter returned as they don't live at branch in Newport any more - so sent to registered address

ENDEAVOUR - They blame Purple loans - sent a questionnaire last week

Some others also still out there and awaiting replies:T

All happening - ONWARDS and UPWARDS

And I would post by recorded delivery for your proof of posting as well, good luck.;)

You can of course add HFC Bank above the address as well if you want to.
