I have emailed Hester complaining about their process and delays but I didnt ask for my payment to be made any sooner than anyone else as I was happy to wait my turn. • Wow wow wow.

After taking your advice guys, and e-mailing Bob Diamond, Firstplus have changed their minds and actually upheld my complaint!!!!

Came back from a lovely two weeks in Cyprus, to an email informing me of the great news, and a letter for the full redress.

What a turn up for the books!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D

£3930 refunded premiums paid plus 8% interest

£10033 taken off the rest of the loan:money::money::money:
So That makes it £13,963 total refunded:j:j

Just goes to show that even if you get knocked back first time, keep at it, good things come to those who wait!!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped me with this, I could not have done it without you all, and no doubt would have stopped at the first hurdle had I not had your guidence.

You guys are all great THANKYOU :A:A:A:A:A

    Love
    LILYXXX

So pleased for you Lily I was only thinking of you the other day :j, I told you we would get your money back from Firstplus in the end. What a nice surprise when you got back from your holiday.;)

    Hi,
Has anyone received their cheques from Lloyds yet?? Phoned them today and got the most unhelpful person ever who told me it would be 6 weeks from the calculation date on top of my letter and if it hasn't arrived by then, then it is up in the air the words quoted by the unhelpful person.

I have also emailed their customer services and the CEO over a week ago and not received even an acknowledgement email. Pretty poor service and I am feeling pretty fed up with it all now.

Just wondering if we will ever received our money and yet Lloyds can be pretty bullying when you owe them money!!.

Would be grateful if know if anyone else is in the same situation.

    Thank you :)
  • Hi Nutty Nat

Did you get your cheque from FP today or have they kept you waiting????:) or:mad:

My eight weeks is up on the 9th November so we still have four more weeks to go. I will give Firstplus a call in a couple of weeks to see what is happening. I win post when I have some news:D.

Well done Forres for getting your payout, so does that work out about 24/25 working days since they received your offer, which I suppose isn't too bad, but still shocking. We got clydesdale refund in bank two days after they received the acceptance, which was very very unexpected but very welcome.:D

Well done, hope you're able to get more than just a new tumble dryer for all your troubles.
Thanks to all the competition posters.
  • Hi,
Well done on your good news can you tell me if it is a ppi claim on a loan you are now waiting for from barclays I sent mine mid July and think I still have another 2 weeks before 16 week deadline, counting the day.
  • Hi Kuffs,
NO, I don't think you are living in cloud-cuckoo land, but it sounds as if you are just coming at it from the other direction, if I understand what you are saying, rightly.
My offer letter laid it out like this:
    PPI Premiums Paid = £xxx
Refund of Interest charged on PPI premiums (i.e. the overpayment of Interest) = £xxxxx
    8% Interest = £xx

So, the short answer is yes. Your sister should have the overpayment of Interest refunded.
    Hope this helps.
    Louise xx

.....p.s. .....and yes...he does sound like a numpty

    Hi Louise,

You're almost there. My biggest concern is that if the PPI hadn't been sold, the repayments would have been roughly £220. So even with the £32 in monthly ppi, my sister has often been paying £300. So £220+32=252, which leaves an overpayment of £48. What I want to know is what happens to this money? Is it calculated to reduce the balance of the outstanding amount after the ppi has been refunded, or does the lender make a sneaky further profit, thus leaving my sis to repay the remaining balance of £3000?

Thrilled to bits for you "flower". That is great news. Shouldn't be far behind you as they received my letter of acceptance on 05/09/11. So nice to hear of someone getting money back from RBS. Well done!!:beer::beer::beer:

    Hi Hugo,
Yes sounds like you have a good cause for making a complaint of mis-sell, I've had compaints successfully upheld by RBS just waiting on payouts, I just filled in the FOS questionnaire from in the 'Reclaim 1000's' section, and I filled in one for each loan or credit card,(remember to keep a copy so that if you need to go to FOS you have it ready) if you have the loan account numbers this is all you need to submit your complaint, if you have copies of bank statements or loan agreements you can send a COPY of them, keep the original, and I sent all of mine's Special Delivery to their address at Hardmans Boulevard in Manchester if you need the particulars let me know.

Good luck and if there's anything else just ask and we'll be happy to help:D
    Cheers Smithy

Have you had any dealings with GE money. Shes had at least 5 store cards, Next, etam, house of fraser etc that have all been with GE money and paid horrendous PPI on them.

I sent them all the letter asking for my account details but got the usuall bumrush as the accounts were closed.

Thinking about sending the same FOS letter to them but was awaiting the outcome of the RBOS case. Is it possible that RBOS on investigation of the loan will repay the PPI paid on her credit card if we're successfull with the loan claim?
