I understand (so has mine :D) but they are moving forward now and you will be posting a success story soon (as will I hopefully)

  • HI!

I just wanted to post and say thanks for the help from those on this forum who gave me the guts to go ahead and make my claim. Despite Blackhorse using all the stalling tactics they possibly could, and the full 16 weeks, I eventually have had my letter upholding my claim - 2.8k !!!!!
Now I've just got to wait while they stall actually paying it out now I've sent my waiver form back (no doubt they'll utilise the full 8 weeks to 'process' the waiver form now as well).

Anyway - big up yourselves all the friendly folks on this forum :T I wouldn't have done it without the nudge you gave me! :D:D:D

And anyone who is having their claim processed by Blackhorse - don't lose heart, they just take as long as they can!
  • Day 21 after another few emails to lloyds we have been told our cheque is no further forward and no specific date can be given, they say we will be refunded but a date cannot be guaranteed, this is a joke i suppose i shouldnt moan cause i know i will get it whereas others havent had such success but they need to get the fingers out and cough up my cash ahahaha
  • Hi there. just a quick update on my OPUS PPI misselling. I was told over two weeks ago that the refund (£1570) would be in my account two weeks after they received my acceptance letter, which they received two weeks ago last Friday. I rang them up on Friday as no money received, and they now say it went into my credit card account (which is now closed!) on Friday, and that it will be into my account up to to weeks after that. Mmmm. I will wait and see.
  • Hi all, cheque arrived today from Halifax for the mis-sold TMP PPI.

Refund of all payments + 8% interest, can cash the cheque today!

Timing wise - FOS questionnaire sent to Halifax mid May, decision letter sent to me on August 26th with upheld decision, although this was not received by me so after phoning them and finding out the good news they resent it out. Arrived 21st Sept and returned same day, calculations and cheque received today. Closure!

    Hi all,

been a member for a while but haven't posted for a long time. With seeing in the news regarding the PPI I am going to claim, Please see below a copy of my letter than i am going to send, Is this ok? any advice alterations are welcome :o

"I am writing to you regarding the mis-selling of the PPI on the above Loan accounts.
I would like a refund of the Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) I have paid into that account, and interest, also 8% interest of what a court would award.

I believe this was mis-sold to me as I was not told told about the PPI on this Loan. I therefore believe I have being paying out extra on this Loan that I should not have been paying.

I used this loan to pay of a previous loan (2nd account number above) with yourselves which had PPI on, I was not aware that it had been carried over onto this account.

I look forward to a full response to this letter within 14 days and if I do not receive a satisfactory response I intend to pursue my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service."

    Hi All,

Some of you may remember the above that i sent to HSBC.

Well is was granted, £4646 is what i am getting back. More than i coul have ever bargained for!

The problem now is, i have been waiting for up to 21 working days for this! I was told last Thursday that i would be getting the money today, 10/10/11.
Just checked my account and nothing.

Tried ringing the number i was provided with and it keeps getting cut of saying the other person has hung up, 02380723838. I managed to find another number and rang that.

Spoke to someone and they say they have no further action regarding my money and they don't know when i'm getting paid . I told them i was told last Thursday that i would be getting my money today and all she could do was say sorry we don't know!

I am now awaiting a phone call regarding it, to which she never gave me a time frame!

Has anyone else been through this?!

Hey, I'm a newbie! I have read this thread and it is very good. I have also spent a lot of today on the phone to HSBC. I can't get through on the same number you quoted and when I called telephone banking they couldn't give me a number then they put me through to Aviva insurance who said it was nothing to do with them. grrr.

When I got through to telebanking the second time they said they had no numbers and there was a large backlog of complaints and that I would hear something at 16 weeks. I received a standard letter last week saying this also however the phone number at the bottom of the letter does not work.

HSBC does seem to be fairly frustrating to deal with on this matter. I have also emailed them to claim for my Mortgage repayment protection and card repayment protection.
