    Morning Di

We have to go for the underwriter of the policy who was Genworth Insurance back then, what do you know about them Di?

    Hiya Nat

I don't know a lot about this underwriter to be honest but have heard of them.
If you do not have the Payment Protection Policy details, if you write to them they should send them in the post.
Sometimes these documents are requested for when required and are not always enclosed with the policy documents - from when taken out.

So basically you pursue them, if they refuse, the FOS will be able to adjudicate as they would have been regulated, hope this helps and good luck x;)

    Brilliant!:T Congratulations!

I understand they have backlogs of refunds to deal with, but if your in financial hardship, it may help if you let them know, whether or not they will push this for a quicker payout I am not sure, but good luck though.;)

Thanks, not really in hardship, just getting annoyed that they seem to be avoiding paying out the money. Ah well just have to be patient I suppose

I made a claim for PPI from loans I had with LTSB back in April and in August recieved an offer letter for over £7K - fantastic.:T However despite numerous calls to them I have still not recieved the money back (requested via bank transfer).

I wonder if anyone else has had to wait a long time for their money back from LTSB or is still waiting. I'm getting a bit annoyed now, I want my money! After all if we owe them money I wonder how they would respond to "I'm sorry I have a backlog to get through it will be paid sometime in the next 6-8 weeks!"?

My timing is the same as yours and I have still not received my 3 cheques from Lloyds. I to am getting annoyed and wonder how other banks can manage to issue cheques fast. Lloyds are just a joke. I have emailed the CEO now but still have not had any response. I just wonder how they are getting away with holding on to our money making interest for themselves yet again!!!!.

Well i have just sent an email to the Cheif Honcho at HSBC

    "Good Evening Sir/Madam,

I am writing this email to yourself as I am thoroughly annoyed with your Customer Service. I rang last week regarding my PPI claim and I was told I would receive my money today.
After 200 attempts to get through on 02380 723 838 I still haven’t succeeded, granted this is probably a busy number but when it does ring no-one answers the phone or they pick it up and hang up straight away.

I have tried 02380 722 892 & 0800 881 155 – I have managed to speak to 3 different people and neither one has been able to give me a definitive answer.

I was told after 4pm today I would receive my money, I have checked my account twice now with 30 minutes difference in time and it still hasn’t arrived.

I understand that paying back all this money must be hard for the Bank but you knew the situation and therefore should have more than 1 phone number to ring to get an answer.

I would like this issue dealt with as soon as possible. I have had 3 “notes” passed to the necessary department and since 12.30pm and I still have not had a phone call back from said department to explain what is happening.

This is shocking behaviour and would like a solution as soon as possible."

I have included my mobile number, work email and personal email. Lets see if I get a response this evening.

    Hi Guys,

Posted earlier but it has disappeared, got a £2,600 settlement from egg but they are sending £1k of it to moorgate who now finance the loan"to put the loan to the amount it would have been at had i not taken ppi"
Can i ask for this money or does it legally have to come off the loan?
Hi there, the £1000 will be the ppi they have to take off the loan.

They have to take this off the loan to reset it,they cannot give this to you otherwise you will have to pay to this back through the monthly payments you are making.
Make sure the balance goes down by this money.

You really need to be patient and stop stressing  Halifax told me my payment process had been started on 21st September and I'm waiting here (patiently :rotfl:). I'm giving them 4 weeks before I call again.
Thats the way to do it :j:j:j:j
Everything comes to those who wait x.

Could people on here please spare a thought for Lloyds group employees who lost their jobs on thursday :(:(:(
Not many fat cats to go so it will be "joe bloggs" as usual who take the rap.

Hi all, cheque arrived today from Halifax for the mis-sold TMP PPI.

Refund of all payments + 8% interest, can cash the cheque today!

Timing wise - FOS questionnaire sent to Halifax mid May, decision letter sent to me on August 26th with upheld decision, although this was not received by me so after phoning them and finding out the good news they resent it out. Arrived 21st Sept and returned same day, calculations and cheque received today. Closure!

Might have to wait a little longer......if it says bankers draft, and its going into a Hx account.....you'll have to wait another five days:eek: Cheeky boogers can't even release it as soon as you put it one of their own accounts!!!
