  • Same here with OHs BC. He has written back asking them to reconsider - all depends on the T&Cs your hubby had in place at the time. For OHs terms define self employed as - "actively working alone " - he wasn't as he had employees; for unemployment benefit it says "claiming JSA" - he wouldn't have qualified and also if he was off sick he would have paid himself from the business. BC have also quoted that the sales process used at the time was correct - he doesn't remember speaking to any one so he's asked for a transcript of the telephone call.
I'll let you know of the response he gets.
BC have also rejected my claim even though I worked in the NHS and had all the benefits such as sick pay etc so I'll be writting and asked for a reconsideration as well.

Same rejection as my wifes. Application by post (no way) and the cover was suitable (it wasn't for a number of reasons that BC seem to have ignored.)

We decided to stop messing about and have gone to the FOS. We await the decision.

Similar to your posts...Barclaycard rejected my claim, stating I had applied by post..and therefore understood what insurance I was buying.

Any suggestions as to next steps?
Incidentally, they have not been able to prouce my original signed agreement...

Thanks, and well done to all those who won their claims this week!:j

My OH has written to Barclaycard again, asking for proof of what they say and also threatened the old Subject Access Request(see if they are telling porkies or not, we know the answer to that) and also started the FOS complaint.

    Lets see what happens now.

Well 28 days have passed and still not received any moneyfrom RBS so I assume they are sticking to 28 WORKING days. Not been online for a couple of weeks as have been away. Has anyone received money from RBS and if so how long did it take? Congratulations to everyone who has been successful while I have been away.

I dont know in what sort of order they are paying out as there was a post from someone who had been paid out last week after only 10 days wait. My 28 working days are due on 18th oct so am keeping my fingers crossed. It is daft to put timescales on letters when they dont know if they will manage to stick to them. It just makes fed up customers even more scunnered.
