:beer::beer: CONGRATS
FINALLY some good news about citi / opus
if u dont mind me asking when did u put your claim in did you have ur card for and what was ur limit, how long and how much did u get back
i know im asking a lot ive got a battle on with them thats opus that is. Citi has held their hands up but cant deal as no longer with them,
and again CONGRATS:T
I got a Citicard in 2004, was taken over by OPUS late last year I think. I lodged the complaint in June this year, with OPUS direct, using template from this website. Acknowledged in a week. I rang them in August and was told that there would be a reply soon. Got an acceptance letter on 12 Sept, £1573. Asked for a breakdown of the figures and they arrived in four days, a month by month PPI payment on anyhting left on the card. Decided the figures were probably right (don't have my statements going back that far), so send of the acceptance form 20 Sept. Rang up yesterday and should get the money in the bank in two weeks.
The staff on the phone are generally quite heplful, apart from there being no direct line to that department and having to ring their general helpline.
Sorry, can't remember the limit, I'm sure it was up to £6000 but I didn't go that far. I wasn't asked anything about PPI when I took the card out, i think it was a tick box but it was too long ago.0 -

Received another letter yesterday rejecting my PPI claim, they sent me a photocopy of what I signed, it is so small I cant even make out what it says!
Keep my fingers crossed that someone else wins with them!
Good Luck to all!
Well I think I may be in with a chance of winning.
I received a letter yesterday, sixteen weeks after my original complaint stating that they are unable to respond directly on a case-by-case basis however, on this occasion they are prepared to uphold my complaint.
They go on to state that the offer £1771.42 will effectively return the premiums I've paid.
The breakdown of how the offer was calculated shows
Total amount of Insurance charged £1018.15
Contractual Interest £753.26
8% Statutory Interest £0.01
The CC account has been running since the 1990's and I have a Certificate of Insurance dated May 2003 increasing the PPI monthly cost to 75 pence per £100 outstanding balance.
Statements for March 2005 and June 2006 show outstanding balances of £3249 and £4400 with respective premiums of £23.89 and £34.16.
The Without Prejudice Offer letter does not give any detail as to how they have arrived at the figures or the period they cover nor any contact details other than a prepaid envelope. It does not state it is their final offer only that I may refer it to the FOS if disatisfied and that the offer will be withdrawn six weeks from the date of the letter.
I look forward to the experts thoughts and recommendations as I feel pretty certain that the amount offered is likely to have been understated0 -
CONGRATULATIONS :j
To all you winners it certainly gives you a boost to read these stories, and l think every one will agree if it wasnt for the help on the forum a lot of people would not had the refunds without the help & inspiration.:T0 -

I sent mine normal then didn't hear from them so emailed the CEO and they then confirmed they had received it so you might want to pop an email in a few days just to get confirmation0 -

I sent mine normal delivery and then rang them to ask if they had received it and they had received it the day after I had sent it.
I rang them yesterday as my 6 weeks is up tomorrow and to ask if the cheque was any nearer being sent out - a guy answered straight away and said he was just taking phone numbers and would get someone to ring us back later - which they did (much later but they did) but I was just told there was no update on our account and we would have our cheque by 12/10/11 - this is quite annoying though when we were originally told that all monies had to be paid to us by 31/8/11 - we had planned on getting this money by then too and now are in a bit of a mess whilst waiting!! I know its only another 2 weeks but its still really annoying!!0
