Well done on your win hun  :T , I agree with Pinknico's post above, if your not in any arrears it should all come back directly to you, afterall its not your fault if they mis sold this.
If you feel this is not right, and there are no missing payments tell them you are in your rights to request this directly back to you by cheque payment, please let us know what they say hun, good luck.;)
arrears?
i owe them almost £7,000. i thought they would give me the ppi money as a cheque and reduce my loan to almost £3,000 aswell, am i just being greedy or am i right?0 -

Hi hun
When we say arrears we mean anything anything like missed payments and not the normal amounts of what is owing.
I get the feeling that amount you said is just the amount owing that would be payable to the loan if you know what I'm saying?;) And not arrears.
In that case you should be entitled to get all this paid back directly to you, and no hun your not being greedy, its your money and its what is owed to you.
Your loan should reduce as far as I know anyway as soon as they paid you back all they owe you.
I would write to them and tell them that.;) Any problem let us know, one of us will be able to help as much as we possibly can here.

What were you reclaiming: PPI
Who was the provider: Natwest / RBS
How much did you get back: £600
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman:
I sent letters from templates on this site, and Natwest have agreed to make a goodwill gesture, on this and 6 other settled loans/credit cards. BUT however, I asked for a cheque from Natwest, as I don't use it as my main account anymore. If they refund me, to my account, they tell me it will take another 5 weeks to process this payment alone?! I have been speaking with Natwest since October last year.. so even though I have got a fairly good result, I still feel Natwest are taking to long, and are also pedantic, by not issuing me a cheque. The FOS are now investigating my complaint, as its over the 8 week deadline!0 -

Any interesting PPI development this morning - just received a letter from LLoyds TSB telling me its changing its PPI terms and conditions from April to exclude among other things unemployment after a probationary or training period or unemployment taht doesnt meet its claim evidence criteria.0

I have had my first result from claiming of PPI, can't believe how easy it was to claim. Thanks MSE for the template and advice.
- What were you reclaiming: PPI
- Who was the provider: LloydsTSB
- How much did you get back: £4,746.95
- Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: I sent the template letter off the week before Christmas, had a letter after Christmas saying that they would investigate. Yesterday I received a letter offering me a full refund of my payments + interest at 8%.
Now only have claim with Egg to chase. Had letter from Egg saying investigations are taking longer than expected and I will hear soon.Wins: £400 (Win O’Clock)0 -
Hi everyone, i have just found this site through one of my friends and have been reading all the forums and found really usefull information. I thought i would post on here about PPI
I used to work for a high street store a couple of years ago and store cards were the bane of our working day. We would get nagged and moaned at to open them , the stores have a weekly target that they have to meet and with that target is a percentage that needs to have PPI included. Because we didnt do very well at getting PPI included our manger told us not to tell customers about PPI and get them to just sign for it, most of them having no idea what they were actually signing for. The majority of the customers we had were students who were none the wiser and to be honest thought that a store card was a bit like a Boots advantage card. I would strongly urge anyone who has opened a card with the major fashion retailers to claim back there charges as im sure that this practice was going on in many stores around the country.
And even though the operators of the store cards would send in mystery shoppers to check we were selling the insurance correctly, it was very easy to tell who they were as they would be in a suit and ask very basic and to be frank stupid questions that even the blondest memeber of staff could tell who they were.
I dont know how this will help get your money back but i had to post something. The store assistants get soo much hassle from above that to make the day more bareable they go along with it even though they know it is wrong.0 -

Can you give me a clue who the shop is?0
