    Hi Guys

Bit of hope for those waiting for calculations from Lloyds - my offer letter came out dated 2nd September and this morning the calculations for my credit card have arrive dated 16th September so a 2 week turn around for calcs which doesn't seem too bad. I wonder how long it'll be before payment though

There isn't a detailed breakdown of the refunded premiums and interest so I thought I'd give Lloyds PPI department a call. After being on hold for about 15 minutes, the hold music was interrupted by an announcement which I though was going to be the usual "all our agents are currently busy etc" but instead it was "our building has been evacuated as the result of an emergency" - got to be the best excuse I've ever had for them not answering the phone!!!! :rotfl:

Update - the emergency must have ended at Lloyds as I got through to them eventually. They went through my refund with me and turns out is is actually correct as I cancelled the PPI cover a year before I cancelled the card which I'd forgotten about so was expecting another year's work of premiums and interest that I wasn't actually entitled too!

My refund breakdown is £710.35 in premiums + £177.45 apr interest + £263.47 8% simple interest = £1,151.27 in total not bad considering I only made PPI payments for 23 months
    Nationwide Loan - Success - £2,596.24 - 8 weeks Egg CC - Success - £99.51 - 2 weeks Lloyds CC - Success - £1,151.27 - 16 weeks & 2 days
Lloyds Loan - Success - £186.17 -Waiting for payment Virgin CC - Rejected - but 23 days into re-opened complaint - update overdue
    • What were you reclaiming: loan of £10000
    • Who was the provider: Sainsbury's Bank
    • How much did you get back: £6344.26
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: I used the process of a letter attached with the form and initial contract
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale:
When I first saw the PPI claims I thought I can't be entitled to that.. But after reading some posts and seeing what the main process was I quickly realised I was. When I had taken out the loan it offered a gold cover of which I had stated I didn't want. Being 18 at the time when the courier arrived with the cheque and contract it had the cover and I needed the money so I signed. Now thanks to the easy process after 16 weeks of waiting I am now about the receive a cheque :) Thanks MSE.com and Martin Lewis.

    Happy client

i also ticked for SMS,but got my calculations come by letter last saturday, they told me mine was scanned in about 2nd September,so you should be hearing soon

I rang them today and even thou I sent my letter back end of August it wasnt scanned onto the system till 15th September. She said it most prob be another week till I hear but it could take longer. Gotta give it another 4 weeks then if Ive not heard ring back. Think it may take a while cos I had refiananced the loan a few time over the years. :o. Gutted lol just wanna know my redress!!!
  • I'm still waiting on the calculations letter, should be any day now I think which is causing me to go a bit crazy when checking my post!?
I get home every day, open the door, check post and then stand there like a grumpy sulking child for a few seconds when realising it hasn't come. God help me when I'm waiting on the cheque! I'll turn into a nutjob for sure...

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how much was the loan and over what term?

I want to see if it is similar to mine.
I've sent you a PM Ian.
  • HI Fedupwaiting here. I have e mailed, phoned and just sent a recorded letter to Barclaycard asking for information about when payment can be expected. Can I ask if anyone has actually received their payments from Barclaycard yet. Still hopeful but fedupwaiting......

I'm still waiting for payment. Sent Acceptance letter on 1st September.

rang the number on my letter earlier and got the same message as eveyone else staing that they cannot give updates on when payments will be made but are dealing with as quickly as possible.

    Matt

    Hi

Firstplus told me last week the reason why is because they have a backlog of payment's to send out ;), I hope this helps.
Thank you that does help, still seems silly though considering how long everyone has waited already
