PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi.
Just been sent a letter from LLoyds not upholding my claim for the second time.
In a policy document enclosed it shows I was eligable ,even though self employed.
Is it worth continuing with a claim to the FOS as Egg upheld a claim ,or do I just write it off as a waste of time ? as LLoyds will just refer back to the terms and conditions.
Any advise welcome.
Hope they uphold my credit card claim.

Hi there
If you know you had ppi and mis sold, then still go for the reclaim, as you don't actually require the paperwork.
Many have still been successful in making a reclaim.
Give it a go, if the account is no longer active they may not hold the agreement for this, but if you require actual details of the loan itself of the account a Subject Access Request is another option, there is a template letter below for this request and they have 40 calendar days to comply and send all data they still hold on the account.
You enclose the one off payment of £10 cheque or postal order, and if they're unable to send anything, they must return your payment with a letter to explain.

To make a reclaim, you complete the reclaim questionnaire on step 3 below, remember to keep a copy and of course send one to them, good luck.

Congrats to all recent winners!
Does anyone know.....As a rule, do MBNA stick to the 28 days to pay out? (getting impatient- found a car I want to buy!)

Hiya.
I believe the main of them are between 21 to 28 days, but you could ring them to check, who should be able to confirm. Well done on your success. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Mark
So sorry to hear that.
If they rejected again then - yes now complain to the FOS.
It seems more difficult to have a success on a CC ppi than Loan ppi going by many others posts.
Do not give in, you will get there, let the FOS sort them out now.
Well done on your EGG success!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
What were you reclaiming: loan of £8000
Who was the provider: RBS
How much did you get back: £2900
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: A single letter!
And then write your brief reclaim tale:
Taken only 10 weeks but got paid yesterday. Delighted.
Thanks to everyone for their advice and support. I would never have tried claiming without your encoragement.

I had some very old loans going back to 2001 and the most recent being in 2005. All paid off historically. I thought there was no point in attempting to claim with them being over 6 years ago because they would just tell me everything had been archived etc, but I ended up getting a call from one of those claim it for you and take a cut companies. They wreckoned that they could go back 10 years no problem so I let them send me the pack out.... They wanted 35%!!!! Robbing gits so when I got the pack I adapted their templates and claimed myself through the help of this site!!! (Thanks Martin)
First of all I rang Halifax and asked for all my old loan policy account numbers which I got, I then wrote to them to ask for a copy of the agreement on all the loans. They wrote back out with a copy and sure enough PPI was included when I beleived I had opted out.
I wrote to them in April 2011 asking for a full refund of all PPI. They responded in less than 2 weeks to acknowledge my complaint and a form for me to give more details. Sent this off and heard nothing, so I rang to complain that I'd been waiting for a response for 5 months and was not happy. Within 4 days 6 cheques came to me totalling the above!!!!
Absolutely delighted to say the least and glad didn't go with a claim on your behalf company as they would have robbed £566 from me
Brilliant work, well done and Congratulations!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi Again.
Reading the policy it states
"If your circumstances change during the term of your loan agreement, it may affect the benefits you are eligible under your loan protection insurance policy " what does this mean ?
I would only become unemployed If I made myself redundant so could I still have claimed against it ? Is this misselling ?
