  • Hi everyone,

Huge congratulations to everyone who has received good news over the past week or so!
DD is back at school now with lots of homework that HAS to be done on the laptop so I find myself catching up with you all late at night....some wonderful 'wins' lately....£62,000!!!! OMG that's like winning the lottery!

    Well, as always,I have a question:o

I've received a cheque from MBNA but I'm now wondering if the figures I've been sent are correct and is it too late to query (sent a breakdown before the cheque and letter states 'no further correspondence will be entered into,blah,blah,blah....no contact telephone number either!). The figures are

Total amount of PPI Premiums: £920.46
Total amount of associated interest: £387.63
Total amount of 8% interest £646.91

I had the card from 11/2001-06/2008 with various credit limits/balances between £500 & £3500 and periods of no balance at all.

I know CC redress is very difficult to calculate but I'm wondering whether the associated interest seems low in comparison to the amount of premiums paid or about right as the 8% interest seems high....IYKWIM!:)

Just wondering what you thought.....don't want to appear greedy...just want to make sure I get everything we are due!

Is it too late to question it anyway?

Thanks as always for all your help!:A

    Hiya :D

In my opinion and experience its never too late.

For example, one of mine was paid out over a year ago and I still questioned on the calcs even after receiving the payment/refund, and further on I did receive a further cheque.

    If you don't ask you don't get.:D;):j.

No harm done and its your money, your not being greedy.

Hi, congratulations. We waited 23 working days for the money to be paid into my account. Is yours going into your account or are you waiting for a cheque?

hi there thanks for the response, yeah we requested it go into our bank so hopefully shouldnt be much longer, so har waiting when you know its coming lol. Did you get another letter from them confirming payment had been made? thanks
  • Hi all, I just got notice of an upheld complaint against Halifax for their mortgage protection policy I felt was missold. I was hoping to hear by the end of Sept but thought I'd phone on Monday just in case there was an update and they had apparently sent me a letter 26th August to say the decision had been upheld - anyone waiting to hear from Halifax I would advise following-up with a call as this is the second time they have lost correspondance that had been alledgedly sent out!

Full repayment of all premiums plus the 8% interest - result!

    Hi Guys

Bit of hope for those waiting for calculations from Lloyds - my offer letter came out dated 2nd September and this morning the calculations for my credit card have arrive dated 16th September so a 2 week turn around for calcs which doesn't seem too bad. I wonder how long it'll be before payment though

My refund breakdown is £710.35 in premiums + £177.45 apr interest + £263.47 8% simple interest = £1,151.27 in total not bad considering I only made PPI payments for 23 months

Checked my bank account this morning and Lloyds have credited my account with my refund, 1 day after receiving the letter in the post! To say I was surprised was an understatement
    Nationwide Loan - Success - £2,596.24 - 8 weeks Egg CC - Success - £99.51 - 2 weeks Lloyds CC - Success - £1,151.27 - 16 weeks & 2 days
Lloyds Loan - Success - £186.17 -Waiting for payment Virgin CC - Rejected - but 23 days into re-opened complaint - update overdue
