Hi, I am new to this site but wanted some advice if possible.
I have tried to reclaim PPI from Nationwide on my Credit card as i believe i have been miss sold PPI but they rejected my complaint.
I have 6 months to counter claim and was wondering if people had been in a similar situation and offer some advice to reclaim my money.
Thanks.0 -
I'm still waiting for payment. Sent Acceptance letter on 1st September.
rang the number on my letter earlier and got the same message as eveyone else staing that they cannot give updates on when payments will be made but are dealing with as quickly as possible.

Rang Barclaycard this morning and managed to get through in less than 5 minutes.
confirmed that they have received my acceptance letter(1st September).
Would not budge on the "up to 8 weeks from receiving acceptance letter" when pushed on when I'd recieve payment though.

Hi I've noticed that the likes of NatWest are taking an age to produce payments after my acceptance for was sent in some 7 weeks ago!
Are others experiencing the same from other companies? ... they don't seem bothered about paying it back!!"onwards & upwards"0 -

Lloyds seem to be taking 2 different routes depending on whether it's a CC refund or a loan refund - my offer letter for my CC asked for my bank account details, but the one for my loan asked who to make the cheque payable to
I also bank with Lloyds, so maybe that's why it's gone through so quickly
Congrats on your win, hopefully you'll get your calcualtions and cheque soon
Ah ok - I need to chase them on my CC as I haven't heard anything from them since the acknowledgement letter back in May. I still have my account with Lloyds, just don't use it. Hopefully the CC claim will be a win too and they can pay it straight in.
Thanks and thanks for the infox

Hi All
Received my rejection letter from Lloyds TSB yesterday.
Was just after a little advice on whether you think its worth going to the Ombudsman over or just giving it up now.
On 25th March 2003 I went into my local branch of Lloyds TSB and got myself an unsecured loan to clear off some existing debts (loan and credit cards) and also to get some cash for some home improvements.
Whilst in the bank I explained that I’d been looking at other companies in regards to getting a loan but they were quoting me too much in terms of a monthly payment.
The guy asked how much I’d be comfortable paying so, rightly or wrongly, I told him that I could afford around £300 a month.
He then went on to explain that for £300 I could get the £10,000 I was after originally and also the extra cash to pay off my existing debts for £299.92 a month.
There was no mention of loan protection, nor was there any mention that my monthly payments would be £50 lower without any insurance.
I’ve had loans and credit cards previously and had never taken out the insurance option before, and given the choice I wouldn’t have taken it out on this one either. Reason being that I’ve always been in good health (touch wood) and was entitled to sick pay from work. I also had the income of my partner to rely on.
Until recently I was unaware that I even had the loan protection, it was only the fact that I’d received a phone call from a company claiming I may have been miss-sold the ppi that I decided to look into it a bit further.
So I followed the instructions on this website, and I got my loan agreement sent to me from the bank and lo and behold, there is a pre-crossed box agreeing to the ‘optional loan protection’. I did sign and date the document. I’ll be honest, I didn’t read what I was signing. I just wanted to get it over and done with and get the funds in my bank.
So, that’s pretty much the gist of it. Do you think its worth pursuing?

Hi.
Just spoke to LLoyds PPI line, very nice woman but not a lot of help.
Had my claim rejected as the policy document states that they cover the self employed, just wonder how far I would have got if I had to claim.
One get out clause seems to state that I cant claim if I become voluntarily unemployed, so would I have had to make myself bankrupt to claim.
As my business stands at the moment I may be closing, but still have assets such as the premise so assume I can not be bankrupt ?
Just trying to get an idea of the best form of wording when I go to the FOS.
Any input appreciated.:A

Thanks to this website giving me the inspiration to put in a PPI claim against Lloyds TSB, I have just received a letter today saying they're going to be paying a substatial amount of money, £2386.11.
I never in my dreams expected it to be that much, my calculations were way off (almost £2k off)!
Thanks for everyone in this thread that gave me the motivation to put the complaint in.
Congrats to everyone who has already had their good news, and good luck to everyone else who hasn't!0 -
Just wanted to let you all know my success story. Had a Yorkshire Bank loan over quite a few years, however, it wasnt until received details of final payment (loan finished this year) that I noticed I had paid over £2,000 in PPI. So I downloaded a form from Martin Lewis website, filled it in and sent it off. Received an offer yesterday for £8,000(!!!) - because I'd topped up my loan and changed terms 3 times, they are refunding me 3 lots of PPI!! absolutely over the moon... thanks martin!!0
