PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hia Nat, i didnt realize you had dealing with Central trust...they declined my complaint this year so it has been with the FOS since May....they seem hard nuts to crack, do you mind me asking how your complaint was upheld and what they have been like with you?
xx
I don't mind you asking me at all. Back in 2005 we took a loan out with Firstplus but central trust was the broker so the £10,000 of ppi had to be got back from central trust who in June offered us a low offer of £2000 so I put that part in the hands of the FOS, who told me last week I am about three weeks away from adjudicator stage, they said that Central Trust has been very slow sending them our file. I wonder why!! Have you reached the next stage yet? In 2006 we topped up our loan directly with Firstplus and was charged another £21,000 of ppi which we won last week as you know. Firstplus have been better to deal with than Central Trust why would you send somebody just a really low offer they really are a tough bunch. How much PPI do they owe you?

Hi nat i think its about £2500- so not much compared to yours
I complained to them in march and they sent about a 5 page letter to state why they were not in the wrong - i was devastated as i thought we would of got it right back with it being such a rip, anyway, i asked them to reconsider...big resounding NO...so on to the FOS i went & hope i win...they should wear balaclavas!!:mad:
Let me know how you get on nat...good luck:)xx

Following the proscribed format.....
What are you reclaiming: PPI
Who is the provider: Central Trust
How much did you get back: So far - nothing!
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: Initial complaint made to Central Trust started July 2010 - nothing. Escalated to adjudicator Feb 2011 - who found in our favour - nothing. Escalated to ombudsman May 2011. So far - nothing. Informed 19th September that it could be another year!!
And then write your brief rant: A year on from initially complaining, to be told it could be yet another year, is totally unacceptable. If I miss just a handful of mortgage repayments I'll be in court within months. Who do I complain to to get the FSA to get it's act together and unstick our money? So far we are owed c£10k. By this time next year it will be nearly £12k!?! We're already deep in the financial do-do and the £130 a month we're still paying for a defunct PPI could be all it takes to get an IVA - we could now be well on the way to getting out of the merde!! It makes me wanna @#/%$!!!**!
OMMMM!!!!! Yours serenely,
Gaz
Thats awful Gaz, i would constantly email the FOS & FSA as only them can do something about this...if they have ruled in your favour, this should have been sorted ages ago  but as usual they are getting away with it...and know it!!!:mad::mad:xx0 -
Congratulations and good luck to all :money::money::j:money::money:xx0

Hi all, need a bit of advice. MBNA have upheld a PPI complaint and paid £1280 off my card last week, as agreed. However, this has not wiped the arrears off, which is what I thought would happen. I called MBNA today, and after 25 minutes on hold, the lady said they couldn't wipe the arrears off, even though they chose to pay the card directly, rather than me, and then I pay the card. They can't organise a refund so I can pay them, which would clear the arrears. They advised me to put another complaint in, which seems stupid. Can anyone advise on what I should do? Thanks0

hey guys....update....update...:p:p
After contacting CB last week after they requested i speak with them & them telling me that they uphold 1 of my loans (I had 3, they were all rolling/refinance) i emailed the CEO & PPI mamanger to explain that under FSA guidance, banks should consider all loans blah,blah,blah..;) anyway, emailed the PPI manager back tonight to ask if they had chance to read my email amd clarify if they would look at my other loans or i would need to SAR them (which i already have...wasting no time) and i have just got this response....
."We are in receipt of the further email sent and a further review has been completed we will be in touch with you in due course to confirm our position"....... (dances) what do you all think??
Do you think they will look at my other loans or give me the brush off?:)xx
