  • This is my 1st time on here..!!! I was contacted last year by a claims firm who said i was entitiled to cash back from ppi's on my Lloyds loan and credit card.... I recieved a letter back on august 12th stating my claims had been succesful and i am to recieve in total approx £6,500..!!!! Since then the claims firm have been harrasing me for payment (25%+vat!!). I keep informing them i have not recieved payment yet and have rang Lloyds up but they just tell me there is a backlog..!!!
Has anyone got any ideas how long Lloyds will take from date of figures to payment??? Thanks....

I'm still waiting on mine, my letter was dated the 2nd or 3rd of Aug. They've said the same to me, back log, blah blah blah, any day now etc. They told me on weds they were only just processing the claims from the start of Aug so god knows!

Just received confirmation from mbna that my complaint had been updheld. I will be receiving a refund of nearly £43,000.00 in the next 28 days.

I nearly didn't make a claim as I was apprehensive about taking on a big bank. Thanks to the advice and templates on Money Saving Expert I will shortly have my money back, which will be like a new start for me and my family

Many Thanks MoneySavingExpert and Martin Lewis. Keep up the good work. Now waiting to see if I get the same response from Barclaycard and mint. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Holy shvt!! That must be one of the biggest yet! That will do nicely! :D spend it wisely :)
  • Hi

I haven't posted much on this site but would like to thank Martin and everyone else who have shared their success stories because they have motivated me, and given me the confidence to take on hsbc!! Today, after 1 letter and questionnaire, followed by a 12 week wait, I have received a letter upholding my complaint and offering me just over £1600!!
I would have liked a bit more but I am definitely not complaining. I would like to say to anyone who is thinking of claiming through a third party company, to do it yourself is simple with the help of this site and you get to keep 100% of the money!!

    Thanks again

Letter through to confirm a refund of £5691.63 (£4690.90 premiums paid + £1000.73 interest)! Did my sums and it's bang on. Need to sign an acceptance form and the amount will be wired to my bank account within 2 weeks. Happy Days! The advice throughout the forums invaluable, long may it continue!

    Thanks everyone!!

  • Just spoke to OPUS, they say the refund is from when I took out the Citicard to June this year when I closed the OPUS account. They have agreed to send me a copy of their calculations, which I will gladly put on the forum for scrutiny.

Got the calculations from OPUS today, they give a monthly PPI figure from the start of the card (from Citicards), and then add the 8% interest etc. It all seems in order so will send the form off am.
Congrats to all who have succeeded.

I also rang Virgin regarding a card with them, and they checked out an old National trust and MBNA card (without me asking!), said I didn't have PPI with them. I also rang RBS re current and previous loans and they said there was no PPI on those either, but couldn't tell me about an old RBS card because I didn't have the card number. Should I believe them re PPI?
  • I made a reclaim to Lloyds TSB in May 2011, on 22 August they wrote to say they agreed my claim and to return the enclosed acceptance form, the form only listed one of the five loans so I contacted the PPI reclaim number at Lloyds TSB to ask should I write the other loans in I was told yes, I filled in the info and sent the acceptance form in return of post, A week later I received a duplicate form, only diferance was the date 26th August. I phoned them again, waiting an hour for my call to be answered, and was told that someone had sent the letters to me and others in error as they had my reply on file and that I should be informed of the amount to be refunded this week and then after I had agreed to the amount I should receive my PPI refund in another 6 weeks. I thought these claims had to be settled in 16 weeks from the complaint being made, this time was up on 26 August. Is anyone else having similar problems with Lloyds? Thanks
