Congrats to all who have succeeded.
I also rang Virgin regarding a card with them, and they checked out an old National trust and MBNA card (without me asking!), said I didn't have PPI with them. I also rang RBS re current and previous loans and they said there was no PPI on those either, but couldn't tell me about an old RBS card because I didn't have the card number. Should I believe them re PPI?
Well done to you on your success!
Its known that customers have not always been given the correct information, where in this case maybe a Subject Access Request (SAR) may be a good idea, this is optional of course.

I made a reclaim to Lloyds TSB in May 2011, on 22 August they wrote to say they agreed my claim and to return the enclosed acceptance form, the form only listed one of the five loans so I contacted the PPI reclaim number at Lloyds TSB to ask should I write the other loans in I was told yes, I filled in the info and sent the acceptance form in return of post, A week later I received a duplicate form, only diferance was the date 26th August. I phoned them again, waiting an hour for my call to be answered, and was told that someone had sent the letters to me and others in error as they had my reply on file and that I should be informed of the amount to be refunded this week and then after I had agreed to the amount I should receive my PPI refund in another 6 weeks. I thought these claims had to be settled in 16 weeks from the complaint being made, this time was up on 26 August. Is anyone else having similar problems with Lloyds? Thanks
Well done on your success!
They should have been resolved by 16 weeks, although the news is that this has not been the case, they are still having difficulty in keeping up.
Have you also emailed the customer service team, plus the CEO?
That may push them a bit hopefully, good luck.

Hi
I have just received a letter back from MBNA stating the following:
Total amount of PPI premiums charged since sale date: £5554.97
Total amount of interest assiciated with PPI premiums: £9567.19
Total amount of 8% interest; £845.70
Total amount payable: £15,967.56
An Amount of £7583.78 will be applied to the outstanding balance on the account and will show on the next statement as a credit or
A cheque will also be sent within 28 days,
Does this mean they are only offereing me half of what I should be getting, or are they paying half on the balance and sending me the other half on a cheque.
The letter states it is their final response and will not enter into any other correspondence on this matter. Should I accept the offer or should I try to get the £15,000 back. Thing is, I am quite desperate for this money and wondering how much longer I would need to wait. Please help! Thanks
Hi and welcome and well done!
In my opinion, although please do not quote me on this, but it looks like they are refunding towards the loan balance and the remainder of it is being paid to you, so no more loan to worry about, although do wait for other opinions on this first.
How did they word the letter?
Did they say an offer of goodwill, or upheld and they will calculate the same as the FOS guidelines?
If upheld, this means this is in your favour by going all the way if you know what I mean, as if you did not have ppi.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Sure the letter came with the calculations and at the bottom of each letter it said
This has now been credited to your account and low and behold when I checked my balance it was there, do you still bank with barclays?
Yes I still bank with them.
My letter didnt have actual calculations, it just said 'redress amount £2333', it also said that it would be paid into current account if I still bank with them, or cheque if I dont.
Hopefully soon x0 -
Well, I have been a long time lurker, but I thought that I should share my success with you, as this forum gave me in the inspiration to claim.
Nearly 25 years ago, whilst I was a student, I took out a Barclaycard and was automatically given PPI - there was no option to not have it at the time...
In May of this year I telephoned Barclaycard to instigate a PPI miss-selling complaint.
I have won my complaint, and as they don't have the records for more than 6 years they have calculated my amount based on the last 6 years.
Refund of PPI payments: £6,125.12
Refund of interest charged on PPI premiums: £44,820.36
8% simple interest per annum: £12,036.69
Total Refund Payable: £62,982.17
I posted the acceptance letter immediately and they received it on 8th September - I just have to wait for the money now :-)
I have also won agains Halifax One, but don't know the amount that they will repay me yet.PPI Successes: Barclaycard £62,982.17, Halifax One Credit Card £4,616.440 -

WOW, a tremendous win, absolutely fantastic, I take it over the years there's been a continuous high balance on the card?
Very intrigued with these high wins, absolutely brilliant result.
What do you plan with your refund..new porsche, house, round the world cruise. Well done.:D:j:j:j:beer::beer:Thanks to all the competition posters.0
