WOW, a tremendous win, absolutely fantastic, I take it over the years there's been a continuous high balance on the card?
Very intrigued with these high wins, absolutely brilliant result.
What do you plan with your refund..new porsche, house, round the world cruise. Well done.:D:j:j:j:beer::beer:
The balance hasn't been continually high, but there has been a balance on there most of the time...
So far a new car and reduce the mortgage are on the cardsPPI Successes: Barclaycard £62,982.17, Halifax One Credit Card £4,616.440 -

We had a £5.5k win from Clydesdale Bank the other week for two loan ppi's, felt great paying off a £5k credit card bill, which was being repaid with minimum payments.:DThanks to all the competition posters.0 -
Thanks, sorry if i was being a nosey so and so, brilliant, take it you have cleared the balance on the card too.

When I spoke to BC yesterday to confirm that they had received my acceptance form they did mention that it is still taking 4 to 6 weeks to process the payments so it may be some time before I actually see the money though.PPI Successes: Barclaycard £62,982.17, Halifax One Credit Card £4,616.440 -
OUOTE=agoodey;46973477]Well, I have been a long time lurker, but I thought that I should share my success with you, as this forum gave me in the inspiration to claim.
Nearly 25 years ago, whilst I was a student, I took out a Barclaycard and was automatically given PPI - there was no option to not have it at the time...
In May of this year I telephoned Barclaycard to instigate a PPI miss-selling complaint.
I have won my complaint, and as they don't have the records for more than 6 years they have calculated my amount based on the last 6 years.
Refund of PPI payments: £6,125.12
Refund of interest charged on PPI premiums: £44,820.36
8% simple interest per annum: £12,036.69
Total Refund Payable: £62,982.17
I posted the acceptance letter immediately and they received it on 8th September - I just have to wait for the money now :-)
I have also won agains Halifax One, but don't know the amount that they will repay me yet.[/QUOTE]
:T WOWEEEE many congrats, it would be interesting to total up the figures for how much has been won in the last seven days there has been so many. You with Barclaycard and me with Firstplus that is £83,OOO. already, this figure must be huge.:j:)

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I complained to Mint regarding the ppi mis sell on my mastercard on the 17th June 2011, i received a reply from them on 28th June indicating they were investigating my claim. I realize they have 16 weeks to respond with a decision, but this morning i received a letter from them saying that my current card expires soon and that if i dont contact them to request a new one they will close the account.
A. Is this normal practise?
B. Will this effect my claim?
Thanks.
Also like to thank everyone on here as i received just under £5,000.00. from my MBNA claim last week:)0 -
Ok folks, some good news at last. This case went on since 2009, it was passed from broker to lender to underwriter, the broker dissolved in 2006, but it was the lender who actually added the ppi not the broker, so last week the lender Endeavour who accepted liability have also now accepted liability on the PPI.
The FOS was going to deal with this under the Underwriter Hamilton, so happy, I will post my link below so you get the story.
