Am so sorry to hear this, which bank if you dont mind me asking?
i would be looking for some kind of distress payment if thats the case, and don't let them offer you £20 quid,i would be looking for at least £1000.
Afew years ago a certain bank sent all my huubys cheque books and statements to our old address, knowing full well we had moved, and a not nice family moved into our old property,so consequently got to know some of our business, the bank sent us £750 redress,so i would hold out if i was you.
Good luck and am so sorry.0 -
Cop has confused me (again)
Offered £419.76
Option one- Money off loan and then redo loan with lower payments
Loan settlement is £5001.98 in this case.
After re-dress its £4582.22 with ;pwer payments
Option 2- Take the redress
Loan settlement is then £5800.39 (????) with re done payments of £96.67 (slight reduction)
I can't understand the loan settlements being so different for the same loan???0 -

I took out a re-mortgage about 5 years ago through Crystal Clear Home loans they arranged a mortgage through Southern Pacific Mortgages. At the time of taking out the loan they advised my chances of getting the loan would be enhanced by taking out PPI, I told them I didn't want to but the pushed me into it. At that time I was desperate to sort out the remortgage.
It added £100 a month to my whole mortgage but I remember it was only a 3 year policy, the guy at Crystal Clear said that in 3 years time they would contact me to re-mortgage and so it wouldn't be an issue. Thankfully they haven't called me and I still have my mortgage.
I'm not sure who the insurance was with, do I contact Crystal Clear Home loans about trying to claim back the PPI or my mortgage provider?
They are more knowledgable regarding mortgage ppi and they will let you know what to do.0 -
Hi everyone
I am new to this, I reiceved an offer from lloyds today with regards to 3 loans that all refinanced each other, the offer included a refund for my fourth loan with them (fourth loan did not have ppi added) this refund was for excess balance and interest, which would not have been added had the ppi not been on the previous loans.
I'm happy with the offer however it got me thinking.
since the fourth loan i have had to further loans which have also refinanced the previous loans, does any one know if they should take these into account aswell, as the ppi on loan 1,2 and 3 would have had a knock on effect because all of the loans refinanced eath other.
would appreciate any advice.
I take it you mean that you refinanced from loan 4 but had no ppi on these?,if that is the case, you only get redressed ppi and not for rolled over loans without ppi.
Hope this is what you meant :rotfl:0 -
Hello all,
I have not been on here for a few weeks. I received my offer from Barclays for £3,449 on the 24th August. The letter says i will be contacted by the collection department within 40 days but have not heard anything yet. I suspect that i will be waiting right up untill the 40 days is up as they have added interest for this period, am i assuming correctly?
Congrats to all the winners also:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Well done and Congratulations Tony !
If your account is with collections, I assumed they would have dealt with it there and then, so I am not certain on that one to be honest.
Good luck though, and again well done!:T:TThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0
