  • Hi Guys

The postie has just been and the calculations for my loan refund have arrived from Lloyds.

The loan was tiny and only ran for a matter of months but the refund is for £186.17 (£47.34 in premiums, £88.90 early settlement difference, £49.93 interest at 8%) which is more than I was expecting to be honest :j

Interesting the letter states "when we wrote to you previously we asked you to return your acceptance form before we completed payment, however, to conclude this matter as quickly as possible, we now do not require this form to be returned. This means that unless you contact us to tell us that you want to reject our offer, the amount set out in our offer will be paid to you" - looks like maybe Lloyds are starting to get their act together
    Nationwide Loan - Success - £2,596.24 - 8 weeks Egg CC - Success - £99.51 - 2 weeks Lloyds CC - Success - £1,151.27 - 16 weeks & 2 days
Lloyds Loan - Success - £186.17 -Waiting for payment Virgin CC - Rejected - but 23 days into re-opened complaint - update overdue

postie also came this morning thought it would have been my calculations letter because i sent off my acceptance letter after being upheld which was received by them 3rd sept to be told that they had made a big mistake i had not had ppi on any of my CC and they were sorry for misleading me there was a FOS leaflet in the envelope so i rang them and they are gonna send me all the relievant paperwork to fill out. What is really upsetting me is that when i rang up in may i only enquired if i had ppi on these accounts the account is closed and i have no paperwork and he told me i did how could they let it go so far and have it so wrong i also emailled the CEO and gave them a piece of my mind:mad:

So sorry to hear that. Can't believe how they've treated you, I take back my earlier comment, they're unbelieveably useless :(

  • Hi All

Spoke to FP on Monday around dates for cheque despatch. Was advised it is based on when they received the 'Acceptance' letter for the offer.

These are run in batches, so everything run on the 1st of September, hyperthetically would be sent on the 1st October.

So question is, has anyone had their cheque yet?

If you have, what date did your acceptance letter get sent/recieved?

With this information, all those waiting for their cheques can work our roughly where they are in queue - 6 - 8 weeks seems too long!

  • Hi everyone
I am new to this, I reiceved an offer from lloyds today with regards to 3 loans that all refinanced each other, the offer included a refund for my fourth loan with them (fourth loan did not have ppi added) this refund was for excess balance and interest, which would not have been added had the ppi not been on the previous loans.
I'm happy with the offer however it got me thinking.
since the fourth loan i have had to further loans which have also refinanced the previous loans, does any one know if they should take these into account aswell, as the ppi on loan 1,2 and 3 would have had a knock on effect because all of the loans refinanced eath other.

    would appreciate any advice.
