I took out a re-mortgage about 5 years ago through Crystal Clear Home loans they arranged a mortgage through Southern Pacific Mortgages. At the time of taking out the loan they advised my chances of getting the loan would be enhanced by taking out PPI, I told them I didn't want to but the pushed me into it. At that time I was desperate to sort out the remortgage.
It added £100 a month to my whole mortgage but I remember it was only a 3 year policy, the guy at Crystal Clear said that in 3 years time they would contact me to re-mortgage and so it wouldn't be an issue. Thankfully they haven't called me and I still have my mortgage.
I'm not sure who the insurance was with, do I contact Crystal Clear Home loans about trying to claim back the PPI or my mortgage provider?0 -
Wowzers... there are some huge wins been had this week! Congratulations
Quick question/query - maybe a stupid one maybe not but hey, I'm having one of those days and it's not even lunchtime...
I mentioned a few days ago that my ppi had been upheld from Lloyds tsb offering full refund plus 8% etc... :T now does that mean a full refund eg. the total cost of the PPI sold to me on the day I took the loan out? Because i've been sitting here doing a vague work out on the amount I'd paid out monthly over the last few years and I'm now a little confused...0 -
After emailing ceo of MBNA 8th september (Virgin Credit Card) when my initial complaint had been rejected i replied to say i wasn`t happy and added some additional information. had a call from the lovley Matt this morning 15th september to say he`s taking into consideration all the points i raised and will be upholding my complaint. not sure on figures yet but all ppi payments plus associated interest and 8%
Just want to say thanks to Loopyloz cause without your comments i`d have probably just left it! thanks hope your is the same outcome!

Made a claim on a lloyds credit card. Had NO idea what I was due. Offered me PPI plus 8% last week so I accepted, no amount quoted. Yesterday I got a ltter saying they would pay me just under £550, apparently this is an average payout as they don't know what they owe me either as they appear to have lost my records!! I could've been owed £3.50 for all I know so I pleased to get anything, but I'm really shocked that they don't have records!0
