Hi, can anyone help please? I have had several loans over the years with what is now santander but my loans were with girobank which then became alliance and leicester which is now santander. My question is, do I contact santander about the loan i had from alliance and leicester as i know i was told i had to have ppi....many thanks and congrats to all successes!!!!!!

    Hi there

You can send your complaint to Santander, although it will not hurt if you did send to the other as they will or should forward your complaint on to them for you, its up to you, but personally if Santander are now dealing with complaints, send to them to be on the safe side, good luck,;)

OMG congratulations on your massive payout:j
I have had an outstanding bill on my credit card of £12000 plus for the last 4 years it was about £8000 for a few years before that, and i was expecting about £5 grand back, still waiting for my figures to come back(am in my third week of waiting with Lloyds tsb)so maybe i may get a little bit more than i was expecting, had my card since jan 2002.

Trish, I hope your claim is successful too, and quickly.

Hubby first had his card in early 90's which is why the payout is so big. He very quickly ran it up to it's limit, and it stayed there ever since! :embarasse So we'll be so glad to get rid of this large monthly outlay.
Needless to say, we haven't stopped smiling since reading the letter.

Thanks for letting me know, should hear what i am getting i would thnk in the next week or so,but then again its LLoyds, suppose can expect to have to wait!!!!!
Will be definatley knocking them on the head, when i get my redress,
they are quick enough to get in touch with my hubby when he goes a day over his business overdraft,he gets a letter the very next day with a charge which informs him when they will be pulling that out of his account,so i think they have a bl**dy cheek making us all wait this long.

1 automated letter is not the same as thousands upon thousands of people reclaiming their PPI.

That's as maybe, but it still seems so unfair that they drag their heels when the boot's on the other foot. After all, it's down to their shoddy business practices that they are in this predicament.;)

We had an A&L loan and the only details I had were the account number and monthly repayments. I rang Santander PPI complaints to find out if I had paid PPI and the lady I spoke to took my details. Two days later I had a letter saying my complaint had been upheld!

Rather than write or e-mail you could give them a ring on 0871 522 5167 (Complaints Resolution Team). I have spoken to 2 people on this team and have to say they couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.
Just have your reasons for mis-sell ready (I was caught 'on the hop' and just said it was a single premium & the cost hadn't been explained to us & I've always been employed by the Civil Service....no interrogation or 'trick questions').

    HTH!.....Good Luck!!
