I have not had dealings with Lloyds so cannot tell you how long,Di will be on later and she may be able to help you.
Sometimes it can be 28 days, but it could be sooner.0 -
Hi All, Please please,
Could anyone provide me with the CEO E-MAIL address for santander please ??? I am having a right time with them !! They are just fobing me off 1st put a complaint in about ppi on the 6th June 2011, got letter back on the 8th July saying that they were investigating, got another letter 12th July saying it's taking longer than they thought, got another letter on the 2nd Aug saying still taking longer than they thought so I rang them, on the 19th Aug to see what was going on ???
Anyway they have told me that because my complaint is re a old A&L Credit card (which I sent off an old statement with) they have to wait for MBNA to investigate and to ring back in a couple of week so I rang back on the 24th Aug to be told they are no further on and have heard nothing from MBNA!! So I asked the question should I ring them ??? No you prob wouldn't get anywhere I was told!!!! so I left it, but found on here a e-mail address for the bank of America e-mail the address (which is the MBNA) After a couple of e-mails spoke to a lovely man who had no record of my compliantAnyway he told me he would take my compliant over the phone but he could only investigate the yrs the card was under MBNA (Fair enough) So today I have rang Santander back and the have told me they have sent me a letter today to tell me that they have got to wait for MBNA to finish their investigation and they have passed my complaint onto them !!!! WHAT THE HELL ????? They should have done that weeks ago and according to the letters they have been sending me they have been investigating ? so what have they been doing for to months !!!!***????? ///
so I really want to give someone a piece of my mind I am so mad !!!
Please can someone help ?????
Thank you in advance

Make sure you get both MBNA and Santander to look at the mis sell for the term of the card you had with both.0 -

Well done on your win :j:j:j
If you dont want the other 3,i will take them off your hands :rotfl::rotfl: seriously, when you settle a loan off with another from the same bank, they will give you a rebate of the ppi from the 1st loan, the remaining ppi is then put on to the second loan and so on and so on....
So you will be entitled to 4 payments if you consolidated 4 loans.
Thanks for that. 2 more questions sorry to bother you again. If I still have an outstanding loan with RBS will any settlement they offer me come off the loan or do I receive the funds? And will my loan be adjusted so the PPI payments are now taken off the amount outstanding?0 -
Hello all
Not been on in ages but thought i'd quickly share my story.
I have have a halifax one credit card and have done for some years.
When I took the card out, I honestly dont recall taking out payment insurance for it but although I genrally dont with any aggreement I take out, I cannot rule out that I did infact ask for it.
I have online bills, and it was only until recently that I noticed that I have been shelling out over £50 a month on ppi. I've had a good chunk of a balance on the card, but have been chipping away at it over the years.
After realising I was paying the ppi, first thing I did was visted here and then filled in the claim form on the halifax website around 3 months again.
After just 2 months I had a letter telling me that they are going to refund the charges along with their 8%. I signed the form, and asked for the payment to be paid into my current account. I'm still waiting to be given a calculation, but yesterday when I checked my CC balanace a credit had been applied for £2188.
I've rang them up about this and they have confirmed that this is indeed my refund. I did query them on the method of payment as I asked for it in my current account. They told me that this payment is refunded to my CC and that they will send me a cheque for the refund which will then be taken from my CC account. Seems like an odd way of doing it if I've asked for it to go to my current account. Has anyone else had similar happen to them??
Anyway, with a refund of £2188 i'm obviously very happy and also pleased with the turnaround that Halifax have managed.
If anyone is in two minds of making a claim......just do it whilst you can.
Thanks all :-)0 -
what number do you have arfurdaley, they changed it the other week0

Good news and bad.
I've had a response from MBNA upholding my claim on my MBNA card stating that they are going to repay £1273.38 and that they will send a cheque withing the next 28 days
However they are not upholding my complaint about my Virgin card. They state that " ...you were eligible for cover (you stated on your application form that you were a UK resident, in permanent employment and aged between 18 and 70). As you have not provided evidence that you had any other adequate means of protecting your repayments in the event of prolonged sickness or unemployment, I have reached the view that, given your circumstances, the PPI policy you purchased provided you with cover that would have been beneficial to you...".
Do I still have a case against them considering I was unaware of the PPI or what it was for until I started to look into it?0 -
Well done and Congratulations to all winners of today!:beer::beer:
This weather is so bad, its playing games with me with my puter!:(:D xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Just spoke to OPUS, they say the refund is from when I took out the Citicard to June this year when I closed the OPUS account. They have agreed to send me a copy of their calculations, which I will gladly put on the forum for scrutiny.0

For those that have had success with Lloyds, does your PPI refund get puit on your card (if its still active and is not in credit) or do they just put into your bank ? As the letter asked for my bank details, so am just curious.
I sem to remember there was a box you could tick ont he form saying if you wanted the payment not to be paid on the card ?
Does anyone know what is the norm ?
Thanks in advance0
